Environmental Deputy

Karen....you might want to go ahead and have Gary join you to read this one......again, no one is injured, no vehicles dented, and no blood shed, here's our FFF story for yesterday.......

Just after noon yesterday Chelsey calls me and says that an Environmental Deputy from Collin County just came by and wanted Danny or I to call him. Okay.....I get the number and name and make the call. The Deputy answers and asks if I have a dog named Duke...yes, do I have a daughter named Chelsey...yes, does she make good grades in school....yes, do we go to the local clinic...yes, do I bank at "x" bank...yes, finally I say OK, what's wrong....he tells me that our info was found at illegally dumped on the other side of Weston. I then begin to ask questions, where, how, when, WHAT......... He says a couple of things that make me wonder what in the world....he asks if anyone in my family might know about this. I said "a couple of phone calls and I'll know". Ring, ring to Danny....he's just like me WHAT??? Ring ring to Colby....dead silence when I ask him....yep, you got it...he took the trash out....but he took it to the WRONG place and the WRONG bags, because this was a bunch of our documents I had sacked up to shred..... today i get to stay home for a bit and meet with the Environmental Deputy to see what sort of fine, jail time or both might be in our future.....stop laughing, no matter how bad I was, a Deputy never showed up.....this is Danny paying for his past!

Mom, don't call....I'll update the blog with the continuing saga at the FFF.

Merry Christmas!

As I sit typing....I hear Danny snoring, the dryer running with Chelsey's new clothes, the dish washer running with breakfast dishes, Colby warming up his truck to deliver popcorn to a friends house, Lily on the couch snoozing and the trash man sitting at home thinking "oh my, it's going to be a long week!".

Colby got his XBOX. Chelsey her Louis Vuitton. Danny a tool box. And I got a new Dallas Cowboys jacket.... There's much more, but these are the highlights.

Now off to cook lunch, Merry Christmas everyone!

It it Friday yet?

Santa is all wrapped and ready....I noticed one of Chelsey's big packages had a tear in the wrapping paper. Hummmm......she would probably blame Colby! It's funny....it's the one gift I can hardly wait for her to open. Guess she can't wait either.

Planning Christmas breakfast with Ashley and the boys. She and I talked yesterday and we are thinking a "no mess to clean up" Bill Smith Cafe breakfast. Sounds perfect to the two of us....we just hope the rest of our group is as agreeable!

Happy Wednesday to everyone.

Hugs and hearts,
Pam

Just a few more days until Santa visits. Funny, last year he brought a little snow....this year he may get to visit in flip flops.

5 meeting yesterday.....only 3 today. Hoping to take off Monday and MAYBe Tuesday of next week. We shall see. Danny is off Thursday and we are both off on Friday.

Better go get ready for work....love to all. PK

My crazy dream...

Thursday night, I had the craziest dream.....

Danny and I were moving the kids into their dorm at college. We had to take our laundry with us, for some reason. I had to use every dryer in the dorm. As we were driving home, Danny said "did you get all the clothes?". I said nooooooooo, so we pulled over at a house and I got on a lawn mower to head back for the clothes. The lights wouldn't work on it and He had to come back after me.

I guess ones dreams can only go so far......I do NOT know what college or even what state or city we were in. I do not know WHY we had to take the laundry. I do NOT know why I forgot it in the first place. BUT, considering I am terrified of the dark, it makes perfect sense that he had to come back after me, since the the lights on the lawn mower wouldn't work. Crazy dream! I sleep so good taking melatonin every night, that I rarely dream at all, or at least I can't remember them. Must have been the tea I drank in the late afternoon. Haven't been able to drink caffeine after lunch in years!

A few updates from this week.....Colby has his truck back. Let's hope he learned from his full speed revere out of the driveway, to check for other vehicles. Chelsey is finally smiling again. She's been happy all week. Dylan and Colton saw Santa, and I have a picture, but can't not get it to load to our blog. I also have another picture that I can't load, and I have to tell you about it....... Ashley found a note that said "Dylan is a b i c h" Colton said "that's not my handwriting!". He continues to say that he didn't write it.....that little boy cracks me up. Danny has spent the week driving materials all over the place. His mood is great now that he got past those dang tests. We went to Anna and ate last night, and laughed and talked.....then we came home and both were snoring in our recliners just after 9pm. To think that we used to close the bars down every night....loved those days, but love being home now even more.

Today I shall finish my Christmas shopping....if I do not find it today, then it's just not meant to be.....Northpark bound, then maybe Highland Park Shopping Center. After all that? Probably Target and Walmart....have to find balance somehow!

To Aunt Sharon....yes a baby girl would be great from One of our fertile girls, or even both. To Mom.....love you. To Daddy.....hope you are feeling better, and i love u listen to Carla please! To Carla and Paul.....if there is any way what so ever my son could get suspended over a t-shirt from Spencers, then he doesn't need it, LOL. Hello to Aunt Barbara.... To Karen M.....love the pictures with your new granddaughter.....she's a cutie. To everyone else....thanks for visiting our blog. Hope you enjoy!

Merry 2 weeks till Christmas...now I gotta bust a move, to make sure Santa can visit. Love, PK

Week in review...

Good morning all...didn't realize that I'd miss the entire week blogging. Nothing exciting this week at the FFF. C and C are ready for Christmas break. I've had a stuffy head and cough. Danny passed his driving test, so that he can drive the big dump trucks and stuff in the snow and ice. Chelsey and I shopped all day yesterday, didn't get a lot, but knocked out a few things. We talked about heading to San Marcos, to the Outlet Mall, but I just couldn't get past a 10 hour round trip drive, so we went to Plano, Grapevine, Lewisville and Frisco instead.

Chelsey and I have had a great time finding ornaments for our tree, that fit into our theme, which is fishing, hunting, farm animal, and bandana. Sounds odd, but we think it's great. I shall post pictures of a few of the ornaments later.

Brrrrrrr, it's cold out this morning. Still doesn't feel like December though.... Hope everyone can make it to The Bradshaws for Christmas. I'd love to see all the boys playing....and yes, it is kinda odd that there are absolutely no little girls (hint hint Ashley).

Love,
PK

Whoosh....

Wednesday night, as I was cooking, I thought....wow, it's going to be great to have 4 days off. Tonight, I'm trying to figure out where the 4 days went. Thanksgiving is packed up for another year and Christmas is unpacked and in place. I didn't drag everything out....just enough to make the house festive. May bring out more of my tree collection as the week comes along. Or not....

Quick movie review: Burlesque is GREAT. Cher is fabulous and Christina Agularia (okay, I can't spell it!) is really good too. Might be right up there with my all time favorite, Dirty Dancing. Chelsey and I went together to see it and she loved it too. We discussed having to find the cd when it comes out....it was fun to spend time with her. She's kinda feeling her way around without D. Fun but at the same time, kinda sad.

Colby has played Xbox for days with friends.....Call of Duty Black Ops is the new fav!

Back to work tomorrow....to finish the month end up. Can't believe it's almost Christmas again.

Love to all,
Pam

zZZZzzzzZZzzzzZZ

3 trips to the grocery store, a new electric smoker, 7-8 hours of prep time, 20 minutes to gobble it up, and another half hour for everyone in our house to be asleep. Danny in his bed, Taz in one recliner, me in the other, Ashley and Colby in my bed and Chelsey, Dylan and Colton in her room. I'd say it was a successful lunch...now I am going upstairs to have a nap with Lily...she's waiting on me!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Everything is cooked except the bird and the pig. Ashley...enjoyed our cooking tradition! Next year we start earlier and get organized with our schedules. See you and the boys tomorrow...can't wait!

To Mom, Daddy, Carla, Paula, Morgan, and all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving...I am thankful for all of you!

Much love from the FFF!

Tuesday...

T'was two days before Thanksgiving and all thru our house,
Not a person was stiring, except for that mouse (in the garage),
Turkey and ham thawing in the frig,
Yes.....the ham is from Jorge the pig,
No other groceries brought at this time,
And it's no one's fault but mine.

No worries, no stressing,
Cause I'll still pull off making the dressing,
It could be in the wee hours of the night,
But no one will be up to help, or who knows, they might

Can't wait to see Ashley, Taz, Colton and Dylan,
No matter what, it will be a day full of filling!

This is the end of my rhyme,
As I've run out of time!

Happy Tuesday to all, gotta get dressed and hit the road,
As we've still got a bunch of loans to close!

Love to all, PK

The next time...

The next time I sit in the football stadium stands watching a Celina football game, Chelsey and Colby will be Seniors. My heart skips a beat to type that..... Watching all those guys walk out of the locker room with tears rolling last night, was really sad. The good news is, all have good heads on their shoulders, and will now start looking at the next chapter of their life.... Just so I remember Lovejoy 17 Celina 0.

Colby's text as Chelsey and I drove home last night? "just one more year for me Mom". My reply? "I can't see to drive if I am crying son...". Chelsey cried crocodile tears as Dallas walked off the field. Good grief, what a sad night for us all

Today, I think I shall do a little Christmas shopping. Danny had to be at work at 4am this morning and will likely not get off until midnight tonight. He'll get comp time for it....so in the end, it's worth it to him! Also...he passed his test yesterday!!!!! The one that was about to kick his tail. Knew you could do it babe! I must say that we have finally settled into a groove with him working. He's so much happier to have something to fill his time during the day. Happy is a good thing at the Fenter Funny Farm!

Off to shower and see what I can find to go under the tree this year...

.....

No title for tonights post.....let's review the past 24 hours.

Yesterday afternoon, while sitting at the longest light in Frisco, I decide to check my friends Facebook status....the first one I see is:

Dallas Russell: Colby you dumb a$$

I ponder that post a minute and then decide to text Colby

Me: What happened?

Colby: we'll talk about it when you get home...please don't yell at me

Me: spill it son, I'm not waiting.....

Long pause...

Me: NOW son....

Colby: I was reversing out of the drive way and didn't know Dallas was here. I hit the Land Rover. Please don't yell and cuss at me in text.

Long long long pause....

I get home to find his passenger side tail light busted out, a dent in the bumper and Colby along with Chelsey NOT home. Danny is here.... Seems they went to the basketball games, which I think was the destination Colby had in mind earlier.

Sooooooo.......today Ashley (thank you girly) takes his truck to get an estimate....$1500. On my way home I chat with Dallas' Mom, and let her know how sorry I am and that we will pay for the dented door on the Land Rover.

Colby texts me asking what the verdict is on his truck. I reply and he sends a note back "please do not take away my weekends". I reply....son, you'd better be worried about something other than your weekends..... This is where we stand. He has straightened his room, not ran the washer, and hid in the spare bedroom for the past 2 hours....

On the flip side (anyone notice just how many times I type that?).....I am sitting in my chair, watching tv, Lily in my lap, and a Physics test is right beside me on the table. Chelsey was the only one in the class to make 100!!!!!!! I think Colby had her put the test on the table, so I would forget about his weekends...

Least they are not both bad at the same time. I might raise the roof yelling! And cussing according to Coly....although, i really do not think I do that very often....must be Mama Bear. Not ME.

Have a good one...
Pam

Highlight of our Sunday...

The highlight of our Sunday? Brookshires trip....that's about all we accomplished today. Oh and I painted my first pair of shoes and scarf today. Not too bad. Think I'll wear them to work tomorrow. I got the idea from this web site monapaints.com

Dallas/Chelsey update...we BLAST home last night, so he can come over and hang out....at 11:15pm, I had listened to their fighting for as long as I could stand. I burst into the room and say ENOUGH...you two have been at this for 2 weeks now, and I am TIRED of it. Didn't take long for him to be blazing down the drive way. Again, beware of Mama Bear.

Colby and Kevin went to the movies. He watched a ittle tv afterward and then we cut his hair. He's now cashed out in my bed. Danny is snoring and I am tired too. It felt like 10pm, at 7:30! Hate the time change....

Now...to all the other bloggers, Marla, I love the pics of Grace and Parker, so cute! Megan, congrats on moving in again. Can't wait to see the new house. Carla....next time, I visit alone, so not to rush home...

Hope everyone has a good week. Can't believe it's 10 days until thanksgiving!

197.6 miles round trip

Winnsboro is just under 200 miles round trip....made it there and back today. Great to see Paul, Carla, Morgan and Dylan. Enjoyed a great day of shopping...wish Chelsey and I could have stayed longer, BUT heaven forbid that we miss Dallas coming over. He better arrive in the next few minutes...or I shall go looking for him.

Thanks for a great day Carla, love u! Pam

P.S. Mom and Dad, Chelsey was ready to come home and I was a little nervous about hitting a deer, so we came home thru Sulphur Springs....we'll catch you one day soon!

Playoffs Round One!

Celina 49 Sanger 7......to the person in the Dallas Morning News that predicted Celina to lose by 2......take that!!! Next up? Lovejoy. Bring it on.... Dang it was cold tonight. Wind blowing. Mist blowing. Brrrrrrr. Glad to be home in my sweats!

Going to visit Carla, Paul and Morgan tomorrow in Pecan Gap....or is it Yantis? Um, no I think it's Winnsborro...can't wait.

Off to my warm bed.

Pam

I should be sleeping, but...

Not sure what the deal is tonight...wide awake here at 11pm. Not a good thing for my staff tomorrow....cranky by end of day I am sure.

Colby and I went to Taco Bell in Anna tonight, while Danny and Chelsey had dinner with Ashley and family. She cooked! I believe all enjoyed.....Ashley, thanks for the text....can't wait to cook with you again for Thanksgiving. Nothing like cooking and drinking vodka half the night. It's a tradition that we both really enjoy!

Lily is snoring, the dryer is roaring and I should be snoozing....lights out! G'night all..PK

Catching up from the weekend...

Friday night...Celina 58 Commerce 0. District champs! Playoffs begin Friday night in Denton. Game on....

Saturday, ran around with Chelsey for a bit. Home and then to dinner with Danny. Stopped at Roadhouse - too many people waiting, off to Saltgrass - one hour wait (I don't think so!). Finally wound up at Rockfish... Was told 30 minute wait, but actually only took about 10. Stopped by and visited with Ashley and Taz....neither grandson was home. Maybe one night we'll catch them both at home!

Sunday...cooked....then off to the Gaylord Texan with some guys and gals from work....2 of which had just flown in from Green Bay...yes, they grinned (and cheered, and strutted, and rubbed in every score) thru the entire Cowboys game....home at midnight, then up and to work today. Needless to say, I am a bit tired tonight.

And to Carla....you are correct, you almost killed me with a baton...not a bat, how could I have forgotten! Glad you had a great birthday...your present is on the counter here...will either mail it or save for when we see each other again.

Off to watch tv and bed soon...this time change stinks......I think it got dark at 4pm...I'll not be seeing daylight until spring!

Night night...
Pam

Ohhhhh, and for those wondering, I think it's over with D and Chelsey.... She WAY better with it this week than last, thank goodness.

Something in common

Carla....we have something in common tonight...I am home alone too. Well me and Billy Bat Ass (the bat by the back door) that is. Damn what a long week....TGIF

And now, dedicated to my beautiful sister, before she turns FORTY in just a few hours....my memories of you are as follows:

The nurses at the hospital would NOT let me see you.

I can remember when Mom and Daddy arrived home with you, pulled right into the yard, to the front porch (at the house on 35) They got out, and brought you in the house, my memory of that day has faded otherwise, except I am almost positive you had on a green sleeper. Notice I didn't mention a car seat....not even sure they had them 40 years ago.

Riding my red tricycle and your yellow and green one till the wheels probably wore off

Playing in the dirt under the cedar trees (again, in house on 35).

You throwing up if you ever had to ride in the back seat of a car

Riding in the back seat on the way to Tyler as you GRINNED at me from the front seat

Thinking you'd broken something when you hit me square in the back with a bat

Thinking Roger had killed you when he accidentally hit you right square in the head with a bat. I remember he and I grabbing you and running to the house.

Breaking a windo playing dodge ball

Cutting you heal riding a banana seat bike

You drinking Daddy's Coors from a can

Watching you play table and softball, in the heat, rain and cold....

Crying in our twin beds at night because you said you didn't have any friends

Watching our tiny black and white tv, that sat on top of our chest of drawers....why did we share a bedroom anyway? What was in the other one?

Watching you graduate from JR High and High School

Watching you walk down an isle....as I stood in a satin red dress

Thought my heart would burst when I saw you with Morgan the very first time.

Watching you struggle for a while, and then finally smiling again

Watching you walk around "the house" you wanted so bad....and then helping you move into it a month later

Watching you walk down an isle, at a hotel near the water.....thinking to myself, please let him take good care of her. (thank you Paul!)

Felt my heart hurt as you cried your eyes out, missing Morgan.

Enjoying my 45th birthday with you....at a time that you knew I needed a fun day.

Loving you for 39 years and 364 days now. And that will never end! So....even though it makes me grin, to think you are FINALLY 40....it makes me grin even bigger to know that we have each other....I love you bunches and hope that you have a fabulous birthday tomorrow!

Ahhhhhhh, the feel of Fall

Love the cooler temps. Could do without the rain. Much prefer fall/winter clothes to summer. Awards ceremony this morning, for our entire building. Had to talk on a microphone...been a while. Mama bears claws are still out, but at least she's asleep for the night. Even Colby is worried about her. Ashley as well. We'll get thru this....

Night night,

Mama bear...

Mama bear's claws are about to come out.....so if the person who is causing my baby girl all these tears just so happens to check our blog, BEWARE of Mama Bear!

Now....on a funnier note, Colby trick or treated as a GIRL. I called him Colbyetta. Priceless! He wore Chelsey's extensions, one of my dresses and was in a black pair of tights. Oh, and of course he had to "stuff.".

Nice quiet Halloween here at the FFF, Ranger game and a steak. There is something to be said for living in the country. No trick or treaters!

Happy Monday to all...I think I'll go watch the Rangers last couple of innings in the World Series.

Signed,
Mama Bear

As the weekend comes to an end...

As the weekend comes to an end, I sit here in my recliner thinking about......

Chelsey's status on Facebook changing from "in a relationship" to not...

Colby walking into the living room and asking me if I have a mask at 6:13pm....

The dishes that need to be washed....

The Cowboys losing yet AGAIN!

Danny in shorts and no shirt, me in sweats bottoms and socks...

Lily asleep on her back on the couch....

The washer spinning with yet another load of Colby's clothes....

And....the Ranger game in about 50 minutes....GO RANGERS!!!!!!! At least something great can still happen in Arlington today!

Have a good week all, I'll try and get back into picture taking mode again.

Pam

A good Friday

Took half day off today to go to the bank and fill out the fraud paperwork for my debit card.....to the yahoo who used my card number at a hotel in Egypt...thanks a lot. Then by the water office.....I have an issue with an almost $600 water bill. I could have refilled the lake with that much water....72,000 gallons...tomorrow I shall be on leak patrol. Have to figure out where the heck it is! Had lunch with Chelsey. Then to the pep rally....by Dallas' house so she could decorate his room, today he's 18. Home....sat around waiting on Danny to get home from work (do you know how odd it feels to type that?). To the game by 7pm. 42-0 at half time, 48-0 when we gave it up and came home. A kid from Bonham left in an ambulance.....please lord, don't ever let me have to run out on the field....unless it's because we just won state. Hate it when someone gets injured...I am usually in tears by the time they get them strapped to the board and rolled towards the ambulance. Will have to figure out a way to check on the kid.....

Received my Alumni shirt from Carla in the mail.....thanks! I took it out to the garage to open the envelope....can't trust you....imagine my surprise when there was no confetti, but Morgan's pictures fell out. They are great! All grown up....hard to believe.

Off to watch a little tv in my warm bed. Night all!

Pam

Wow....20 years ago today!

Can't believe it's been 20 years since I was painting a wood fence so it would look good in the pictures....and now that I look back at the pictures, the darn fence is not even in there! Happy 20th Anniversary Danny....love you! PK

Sunday, October 24, 2010

Happy Birthday Ashley!

Can hardly believe you will be 28 tomorrow....seems like only yesterday, that I first laid eyes on you, riding on your Daddy's shoulders at the Rains County Fair. I think you were almost 3 at the time. You were saying you wanted to RIDE NOW and pointing to the Merry go Round. Such a pretty little sassy girl....and now a beautiful, wife, Mom, car pool driver, sister, daughter, grand daughter, niece, daughter in law, cookie baker, landscaper, repair lady, and most importantly, one that is loved by so many, especially me! Enjoy your day, and remember we have a Happy Meal date very soon... XOXO, P

What to do on a rainy Sunday?

What else would I do today....besides cook... Menu is breakfast casserole, homemade donuts ( yes Mom, like you used to make), and hash browns first....letting the casserole "rest" for 30 minutes at the moment, after it sat all night in the frig. Marinating pork chops in soy sauce and honey, to grill later. Also going to make a chicken casserole (Danny will say, wooho, more chicken, NOT), steamed veggies, pasta, salad, and a Gooey Butter Cake, that sounds fabulous. If it's good, I'll share the recipes later.

Okay.....Carla....Target? Really? Least you and Morgan were not alone... And glad you were safe. Please do come see us...been a while!

Off to see if my casserole has "rested" enough to put in the oven...seriously though, who comes up with this stuff. I think about receipes sometimes, and who was gutsy enough to mix certain things together and cook it. Take an egg as an example. There are many things you can do with it, boil, scramble, use in recipes, drink (gags me to think about that), devil them, etc...

And now I leave you with my new favorite quote......"be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, the devil says "oh crap, she's up"". Love it!

Happy Sunday all, and Morgan, you should start a "my Senior Year" blog.....sniff, sniff.

Pam

Academy...

No shirt today...went to Academy in McKinney, only to walk in and see at least 100 people in line. I think to myself OKAY, just how bad do I want this shirt... I decide to lurk around and see how fast the line is moving...to the back of the store I go, back up front, over to the Life is Good stuff, and back up front. STILL no movement. I go to look at the Ranger shirts and they are all the same that have been out for a while. Nothing new. THEN I see an employee go up to the line and say, okay the FIRST truck has arrived and the boxes at the back have THESE...he holds up a World Series cap, and says they are $29.95 each. Several people say I'll take one, two, three..... Then he says the OTHER truck should be here soon. Sooooo...I can do one of two things, the first option, join in with the other 100+ people OR I can go home without a shirt......guess what I did? Let's just say I'll figure out another way to get a shirt...I came home. Wonder what was in the front of the truck? Maybe I go see tomorrow...

Chelsey, Dallas, and Brent have been at Tarleton State today "checking things out and meeting the coaches" as well as going to the game. Chelsey just text and said "not impressed.". Unclear if that means Dallas of herself, LOL, or both... Colby is downtown, at the fall festival. Danny is in his chair in shorts and no shirt. I am in my recliner under a blanket! Left this morning in capris and flip flops, came back after getting gas, and put on jeans and a jacket...least it's not 100 degrees anymore, time to semi retire the flip flops.

San Fran and Phillys are tied 2-2 ....come on already, get it over with, and let's get to going with the World Series!!!!! Still can't believe it's going to be played in Texas!

Night all....Aunt Barbara, glad your still enjoying the virtual books...and not all of the books I read and blood and guts....the gushy ones are on our bookshelves...

Glad I could entertain you again...
PK

A few beers and shrimp....

A few beers and shrimp at Hooters....oh and a Ranger win! Loads of fun....woke up early, back to bed, ring ring went the phone at 7am, yes Daddy...still sleeping, back to bed, up at 9am. I think I am good to go now. No plans for the day, EXCEPT, finding a World Series shirt. I am sure the Tshirt presses were burning up last night by the 3rd inning....claw and antlers are a must have.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Something new at the Fenter Funny Farm...

Paul....you'll love this. This morning I am out in the garage at the butt crack of dawn, and I see something move out at the edge of the garage....being the chicken "afraid of the dark" person....I take off for the back door. Then I hear "meow ". Tiger looks at me like WHAT was that....then, all of a sudden, appears a yellow cat that looks just like Morris the Cat on tv. So......for the first time ever, we've had an animal find us...instead of disappearing. We'll see if he or she stays around....just put food out for Tiger and I already heard the other one meowing out in the darkness. It better learn to be quiet, or it will not last long out there....

Speaking of darkness....the other night Danny and I were watching tv, and it was one of those "lady home alone and hears a noise" moments of the show. She got a candle stick and her phone and went looking for the noise. She called her husband and said "I think someone is in the house" I leaned over to Danny and said "babe, if I hear a noise, I'll call you, but it will be from my car as I am flying down the driveway.". Dang sure will not be as I hold a candle stick and go looking for the boogie man! When you go look, they always find you.

Night night,
Pam

In exactly one week Danny and I will celebrate 20 years married....I can not believe it! If I said I remembered every detail about 20 years ago, you'd all know that is not the truth. Hell, I can't even remember why I get up and walk into another room sometimes, forget 20 years ago today! I do know this.....I was probably at home with Ashley, watching tv, making sure her school uniform was clean, planning her birthday, watching her eat out of a giant bowl of veggies (with ranch of course), picking out yet another bedroom color for her, checking her hamster (I do remember his name was Sable), letting her sit on the cabinet while I cooked, dropping her off at her Aunt Suzie's house before I left for work, making sure she had that bow just so in her hair, begging her to take a bath, making a fun run to the mall, going to McDonalds, playing at the playground, making her lunch, tgetting her foot out of the toilet, checking to make sure her toothbrush was actually wet after she brushed, the list is endless..... As is my love for her. Tough things happened oh so many years ago, things a 7 year old should never have to go thru. But we made it, and I love her more everyday, I just don't get to see her very often. And I am terrible about checking In on her. But she stole my heart many years ago and was my first.... So....Ashley, I hope you are reading this, and know that I love you bunches, am sorry that I'm absent sometimes, but you stole my heart along time ago and I never want it back. Much love sweetie....let's go have a Happy Meal sometime soon....

Love,
Pam (Mom 2)

Carla....

Aren't you the funny sister! You can keep your earring....I am good to go without! Such relief without the vice grip....

Junior Prom Mom meeting this afternoon. Signed up for the decorating committee. That will probably take all day Long on April 30th....so, Promzilla Chelsey will have to torture me at record speed, to get it all in...

Colby came in talking about the tough work out today. Danny has been snoring on and off in his chair. Rangers are winning at the moment. I'd say it's a typical Monday night at the Fenter Funny Farm. Even Lily is cashed out on the couch.

Onward to Tuesday, without a vice grip on my ear. XOXO, Pam

24 hours and...

24 hours with cartilage pierced was ENOUGH for me....took that sucker OUT about an hour ago....damn, felt like my ear was in a vice grip. Danny is calling me a not so nice name, but I do NOT care...that sucker was killing me!

Now.....Cowboys are really testing my fan patience. About to join the "Wade and Jason must go" bandwagon... Nice relaxing Sunday, ran to WalMart with Chelsey. Came back and cooked Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas, rice, beans...turned out pretty good. First time I've ever made it.

Wish it was still Saturday....could use another day off, to sleep, and make up for the hours I missed last night, with my ear in a vice grip!

Marla....Grace and the "patty cake" sure made me smile! Just precious. Ohhhh....remember the twin boys that were born at 25-26 weeks? They are 11 weeks old, over 5 pounds and there is talk of them going home.... Chelsey and I may go see them once hey get settled in. 25 and 29 days seemed like a lifetime when the kids were in the hospital...11 weeks had to be tough! Megan, Hayden is so dang cute. Going to have to visit again sometime soon.... Morgan, love u bunches! Ashley, you too!

Have a great week all.....it seems that I am the only one blog rambling this week, come on gang, need some updates!

Pam

Ohhhhhh, almost forgot...

Got my left ear pierced today....up at the top.........I think the mid life crisis has officially set in!

History...finally!

How about those Rangers...woohoo. Too bad the decision will be made, for the World Series, in New York. Appears Baseball will be a lot more fun than the Cowboys are at the moment.

Chelsey and I birthday shopped for Dallas today. Done, and two weeks early...least she will not wear me down asking WHEN we will go. She and I had a great time. No fights at all. Nice to spend time with her, and actually be speaking!

Colby would NOT go with us. He just hates to shop.... Gets it from his Daddy I guess.

Now watching Philly and San Francisco...SF pitcher needs a hair cut.

Ashley walked at the Susan G Kolmen Race for the cure this morning. Proud of you girly....next year Chelsey and I will go, we promise! Listening to you and your Daddy talk on the phone now (least I can hear his side). Sounds like Colton's team could really stand a win!

Off to find something to snack on...lunch has worn off.

TTFN,
Pam

Sports week...

Okay, I think I am on sports over load! Baseball and football all week it seems. Can't believe the Rangers blew a 5-0 lead. As everyone on Facebook said...there's always tomorrow.

So.....tonight Chelsey mentions the mirror Colby knocked off Wednesday....I say WHAT????? Yep, from a big Ford truck it appears. Gotta find the man before he finds our insurance company....appears everyone in our house knew about it except ME. Gonna whip someone (or all of them) tail!

Colby and crew won last night. Dallas and crew won tonight 56-6. 3 sacks for Dallas and 9 tackles....off next Friday, and then the final home game before we go I to the playoffs....I bet I shed a tear that night...Dallas turns 18 and it's his last home game.

Dad, you sounded great when I called with my score update tonight, sooooo glad your feeling better. Love to everyone, Pam

P.S. Anyone wanting to take Colby in, until he gets past this wild driving stage, let me know, I'll start packing him up. Ohhhh, and Chelsey mAde a 100 on her Physics test today....and I should let you know, I still do not even know what it is!

Bowling!

Bowled with Jesus, Tyler, Colby, Jay, Dallas and Chelsey this afternoon. Good times, but I'm predicting a sore arm tomorrow. Beat Dallas once.... Tyler got on a roll and hit 214 in one game....several strikes in a row!

Tomorrow is the last of my 4 day weekend.....Chelsey is going to the fair with Dallas and his parents. Not sure what Colby and I will get into, but we'll find something....

TTFN,
PK

Made my day.....and hers...

Today....while running around the mall, I go upstairs to the candy factory store, to get Dallas' favorite, and a few things for C and C as a surprise....I walk in, and at the same time, a young lady walks in with a little girl, about 2-3 on her hip..... I hear her tell the lady that works there she has a $40 budget for candy, and it's for her daughters birthday party game prizes. I am milling around, getting candy by the pound, she's picking out matching colors of candy, etc. As I sorta watch, the employee gets this and that for her and I am thinking NO WAY is she getting out for $40! Because the candy is by the pound, so it's hard a tell just how much things will cost. A couple of times she asks the lady if she's close to $40, and the lady says....should be okay, should be okay.... After she picks it all out, and says, "maybe I should just get a bag from Target instead". Then she says, no I want this to be special for your sisters (she's saying it to the baby). I take note of the "s" at the end of sister, which makes my heart sing, as I think of twins girls, and a a birthday party..... She heads up to the scales/register, just as I am as well. I hear the employee say $62.03. The young lady says, I can't spend that much, we'll have to put some back. Then, She says Oooohhhhh, do you have a military discount? The employee says "no, sorry.". She stands for just a minute and says, okay, go ahead, it's going to be fun, so it 's worth it.

I can't stay silent another second.....I ask if her husband is military, she turns to me and says yes.... I ask "so, where's their Daddy at?". She looks at me with heavy tears in her eyes and says Iraq. I thought my heart would burst....she turned back to the register, digging cash and counting change from her purse....I put my candy on the scale with hers and said, "I've got it....". She said, that's very sweet, but it's okay, really. I said.....I insist, and as I paid for a mound of candy, both hers and mine, she cried big tears standing beside me, and was shaking as she said "thank you!!!!". I replied.......NO, thank you for what you give up....I hope the party is wonderful, hug your daughters from me, a stranger at the mall..... She hugged me and I walked out, with my candy, and a smile.

Sometimes it just feels right, to make someone's day.....thanks to the stranger at the mall for making my day!

Pam

A day off!!!!

Oh happy day....5 months into my new job, and I am finally taking a day off. What will I do? Manicure, pedicure, brow wax, cleaners drop off, run by Nordstrom's for a pair of shoes I do not need BUT must have, back for lunch with the kids (they get out of school at 12:30), head to the parade/pep rally, home and then to the game. For the first time in 13 years, I'll be off and Danny will be working. I'm off Monday too...four days...boohoo. I'll probably be bored by then, but I'll take that chance.

Chelsey received a HUGE mum from Dallas...she came running in with it yesterday, when I got home. She got him a really cute/nice arm band mum. It's white and silver, and she picked it all out by herself....all I contributed was a call with my credit card number. We also worked together to make him a candy bouquet. It turned out great and she took it to him before I got a picture....

Last night was "protect the float" night and I, being the terrible Mom, RUINED Colby's night, by making him stay home at 10pm. I heard Mom's voice come out of my voice, "loud and clear......NOT on a school night.". After a few door slams, Tyler looking at me and saying "it wasn't my idea" everyone settled down and went to bed. This morning his friends post, at 1am, was "feel sorry for Shelby's eye and Lee's truck.". ALL the more reason that making them be home by 10pm was a wise decision..... Stop smiling Mom LOL.

Danny just left for work....the kids are up, getting ready to start their Friday, and Lily keeps raising her head up (she's on her blanket at the end of the couch) and looking at me as if she's thinking "why are you still here?"

Photos to follow of the days events and the "sack attack" Homecoming game tonight. Woohoo, go Bobcats!!!!

Tata for now,
Pam

A fine, probation and defensive driving...

Chelsey and I went to court today....for the speeding ticket she got a few weeks ago. She was fine until we got into the lobby and a guy across from us was telling another man that he "just got out of jail" for something....two weeks he said. Chelsey started trembling a little. No tears, just nervous....she said Mom, we are here with criminals.....I said SSSHHHHHHHHHHHH!

The bailiff comes out and calls her name. In we go, both of us are to stand right in front of the judge, on a white tape line. The judge asks her if her grades are better than her driving.....he says "kids in Celina, Prosper, Frisco, McKinney, etc are killed everyday because of speeding in a vehicle.". Then he asks WHY she was speeding...she explains that Danny checked her out of school, to come after him, but she didn't know where to go and thought something bad had happened so she "punched it" to come home. The "punch" cost $270.oo and 90 days probation for her. He discounted it $70 "because her Daddy asked her to leave school.". She also has to take defensive driving....he looked at me and said "she can take it on line, if she'd like.". I replied.....NO, she'll be spending an entire Saturday at Golden Corral taking it..... The judge laughed and so did the bailiff. It is safe to say, that it scared her today. Not just the judge....but the whole process. I could be wrong, but I bet it is a while before she gets another one! Now....i may take Colby up there, with the "criminals" so he can get a little scared. Doesn't hurt them a bit!

No photo of Chelsey and the judge....probably would have gotten arrested, not worth it!

Football tomorrow night with Colby....Homecoming Friday night. Vacation Day for me Friday and a holiday Monday. FOUR days off....what will I do? Lily needs a hair cut, attending the parade and pep rally, and doing what ever the heck I want to....Danny will be working!

Night night....Pam

P.s. Marla, maybe if you rub Lovey in the dirt a little, she'll be brown!

Random things... (with corrections!)

Just a few pictures to catch you up
on the happenings at the Fenter Funny Farm...

My new car....yes, believe it or not, it is a Volkswagon!
25-32 mpg, I'll take it, for my numerous round trips to Lewisville!

Chelsey with "morning hair"

Colby in a gown.....he'll kill me over this one!

The dang trailer I got caught behind yesterday on my way home
from the grocery store. Seconds after I snapped this, all sorts of stuff
came flying off of it, and he had to pull over, thank goodness!

Lunch today consists of chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes (instant, because
Chelsey will NOT eat real ones), corn, pasta (yes Mom, two starches), deviled eggs, something green (to be determined) to add color AND
.....Pig Pickin Cake....
My best friend (Cherry) in High School's Mom used to make this
on Mondays after school (this was the one day of the week she was
not at the beauty shop) and it was my FAVORITE...
It's kinda tall (3 layer), so I had to make a foil dome to cover it.
Hope everyone likes it.....Dallas likes pineapples, so that is part
of the reason I decided to be a baker today.

Now for my notes to everone.....

Morgan, I love you, Merry Xmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentines Day, Happy St Patrick's Day, Happy Birthday (see how much I missed!)....Hopefully I'll be able to see you to say Happy Halloween!!!! Dad, please do not worry...you'll feel better soon. Mom and Aunt Barbara, hope you had a fun weekend. Aunt Sharon, I'm sure you miss Hayden and Megan, but her posts have to make you smile. Paul, I think the repair guy was looking at the beautiful photos of your wife and daughters on the desk! Too funny that you "caught him in the act...." Carla, as I said, I can feel your smile from 100 miles away, and it feels good to know it's there. Marla, should you be following our blog, it's about time you post something about those beautiful girls!

XOXO to all, PK

Happy Tuesday...

Hello to all!

Dang, is it Friday yet? Mom used to say "don't wish your life away." But....Friday might be worth it!

A few updates. I got a promotion! Very excited to start my new position effective Friday. Hired my replacement today, very excited about her joining the team. And what were all my emails today? Meetings, meetings and more meetings. Oh well, time to make it "bigger, better and faster..."

I'm the only one not "down for the count" at our house tonight. Everyone else already kissed me goodnight and closed their bedroom door.... It's not even 9pm!

Happy for you Carla....and yes, welcome home from vacation Morgan, welcome home! Barbara, you'll have to tell me which book your puzzled about. Megan, just how big is the wall for your plate collection? Aunt Sharon, I'll bet your really enjoying Hayden, he's so darn cute. Mom, I hope you and Daddy are feeling better...the weather change has probably not help you at all, but gosh I'm glad it's actually tolerable outside of recent.

Paul....thank you for just being you.

Love to all,
PK

Kenny Chesney? Really?

Yes...Kenny Chesney...he showed up today at the Celina Pep Rally. I got to see the Escalade he came in, that's it... Below is a picture of him in an orange baseball cap, in the gym, talking to the crowd......and why was I there? Well....

Ring ring...goes my cell phone at 10:40am, it says Celina High School, UGH, goes my stomach....it's the school nurse. Colby has signs of a concussion from a pretty good hit last night. I spent a few minutes scrambling with files that were closing NOW, bolt out and fly to Celina...get him from school, fly to Presbyterian Hospital in Plano....CAT Scan, and all is okay, thank goodness...on way back, our phones are blowing up with text, rumor is, Kenny was in Celina, I punch it, get to Prosper and get stuck behind a HUGE tractor, 15 mph for several miles, PASS finally, keep flying North....get to the school, jump out to see if I can even catch a glimpse, someone tells me "it's over" so I get back in the car and fly back to Lewisville, and make it at 3:50pm, for a 4pm interview. No one, and I repeat no one, would have wanted to make that flying trip with me today. Boys won, in Paris 52-30. I hear Dallas and Keller had a great game. I got home from work at 10:30pm..and am still wound up tight. Think I'll take my knock out pills and hit the bed.
Was you day as exciting as mine? Kenny Chesney? Really? Yes.... Concussion? Really? Thanks goodness NO.... :-)

It's all clean, mowed and beautiful!

Starbucks, CHECK, house cleaned, CHECK, back patio cleaned, CHECK, kids bribed to clean their rooms and bathroom, CHECK, yard mowed and what seems like half the other 33 acres, CHECK..... Danny was a BIT dirty afterward... I, yet again, mowed with the push mower, and my behind is telling me about it as I sit here updating. I'll be sore tomorrow, no doubt....
We started at 9:30am and stopped at 4pm, just in time to shower and leave, so the Realtor could bring someone over to see the house. We got back at 7pm, and they were just leaving. Andy said that the wife didn't like the house, but the husband did and liked the land, said he'd tear down the barn/garage, because it's too close to the house and build up on the hill, which was our original plan. As soon as he said "wife didn't like" I thought CRAP, but then he said she didn't like the last house they bought either....ended up re-doing the whole thing. We'll see if we get an offer, they have a house to sell as well. Finger's crossed!

I'm too tired for anything else....Cowboys got beat, Lily's beat, Danny has already been snoring in his recliner....think I'll go join him. XOXO, Pam

Another busy Saturday....

Good morning! Saturday is now behind us, and what a busy one it was. Up and out for mani/pedi, ran into one shop and blasted home to get ready to head to Emory for Danny's class reunion, or shall I say multi class reunion. It was a decade reunion for the 70's. Saw a few people that I recognized, and many on the memorial presentation for those that have passed away. Amazing how many Danny were directly impacted by.....Susan Drake (June 28th was 20 years, a day I shall never forget), Pauline Luckett, Lillard Mays, Chester and Lester Thompson, David Stafford and Joe Bob Hughey..... Had a great time with Karen and Carla people watching. This is Danny's class in attendance......
I can tell you Rusty Armstrong, Jimmy Spinks....Nelda and Nelda, Mickey Cooper, after that, I'm not sure. And no, I wasn't the youngest wife! Carla Weddle got me on that one.

We stopped by Mom and Daddy's house for a few minutes, before heading west. We briefly discussed going to the fair, but within seconds decided it was TOO hot... Stopped in Greenville for steak, and after an hour wait, we got them. From there we visited the Ray's in Cash. Home a little after 10pm. The kids stayed home all day, but were gone when we got home.....

Today, what to do? Mow and clean....house is showing between 5 and 7pm. But first, Danny and I are off to Starbucks! Have a great Sunday all....and now that we've been to the reunion, I know who a few of the blog visitors are, GREAT to see you Karen.....take care. Pam

Happy Saturday...

Up at 6am...why oh why can't I sleep late..... Must be because I do not want to miss a minute of the weekend. Stayed home last night, just Lily and I. Have to do that sometimes...just so I can use the remote control. Celina stomped Melissa 40-0. 4-0 so far. Busy week at work. Danny survived week one. Colby and Chelsey didn't miss us much, I think. Today, need to do Manicure/pedicure, but probably will not happen, since Danny and I are going to his 70's class reunion later. Wonder if I will be the youngest wife? Probably not...but a girl can dream! LOL. I need to figure out how to post in orange again....iPad is still a mystery on some things.

Not much else to say....love to all. PK

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Danny might not grin over this post....

Four days into working again....tonights conversation on the way home from Colby's Game (they won 52 to 0 by the way)! Danny and I talk about.....the state picking up dead animals, cleaning up after wrecks (if there is anything on the road such as fuel), and how and where they bury things. Then we turn into our drive way and he says DANG, only one day off this weekend and I have to mow. I said WELCOME to my world babe.... Have had to pop his blisters this week, get lotion for his chapped legs and ask if he is sure he doesn't need sun screen. He wouldn't let me take his picture on Monday...with his lunch box. He leaves early, so he can get a good parking spot. All this makes me smile.....I think he's missing his time at home!

Called on Chelsey's ticket and she has to appear in court.....they must do this, so a judge can scare the crap out of them about speeding. A parent has to go too...guess that will be me, since Danny has not time off yet.

Joy, joy at the Fenter Funny Farm....football tomorrow night, 70's reunion with Danny Saturday and probably be pushing a mower Sunday, again, joy, joy....

Love to all, and Daddy, I hope you are feeling better! Love u!

A great Saturday!

Can't remember the last time I stayed home on a Saturday....Danny went to Colton's football at 8am in McKinney. The kids slept until eleven and I did nothing... Cooked an omelette, watched HGTV, played on my iPad, laid on the couch with Lily and finally took a shower after lunch time. Finally left the house at 7pm to find a patio and margarita. Ended up at Angelina's in The Colony, but it was still too hot for the patio. Have been thinking about how Danny and I could celebrate our 20th Anniversary at the end of next month....so...we drove out to The Gaylord Texan. I have been there before, but he had not. It is probably one of the most spectacular hotels I have ever been too, even cooler than those in Vegas. We walked around the shops, sat in a great sports bar (with reclining chairs) watching the Texas game on a gigantic tv, and then drove down to see The Glass Cactus nightclub. I think this is where we shall spend our anniversary... Also plan to take the boys out there for "Ice" this year, the theme is Charlie Brown. Have always wanted to go, this year I shall not procrastinate!

Today...I have 5 files to work on, a trip to the grocery store, oil change and Cowboys game tonight (from my own reclining chair). Sure do love weekends!

Hope everyone has a go one one as well. Aunt Sharon, your right, Megan has a lot of projects! Aunt Barbara, hope your enjoying the Kindle, Megan, can't wait to see the new place, Carla, hope you had a great weekend in the mud, Mom and Daddy...love u and to the visitors I am unsure of, Happy Sunday!

Xoxo, PK

Just remembering......

I shall never forget exactly where I was 9 years ago this morning.....I was sitting in traffic, on my way to work, precisely at Preston Road and Legacy. On the radio....a plane has flown into one of the World Trade Center towers. I couldn't have been more surprised, except when I was actually watching when the space shuttle blew up before our eyes many years ago. My thought was oh my...how could that happen! It's not as it you can't see a building of that size. Never thought about it being a terrorist attack. Never....then I get to work, just as the second plane has hit the other tower. Everyone was crowded around the TV watching in horror as the story unfolded. Then the other plane hits the Pentagon and yet another crashes in a field. Again, unbelievable.... Danny and I were scheduled to go to Cacun on a Production Trip the first week of October....Chelsey, at the tender age of 7, looks at me one morning, after she's been watching yet another story on the news, and says "Mommy, please don't get on a plane.". I called the next day and cancelled our attendance of the trip, so many did so, that the entire trip was cancelled and changed to Vegas at a later date.

At the age of 7, I remember not having many cares in the world, except a baby sister that I adored, a pony to ride and probably passing 2nd grade. Never a worry about terrorist or Mom and Daddy getting on a plane. I guess life was very simple back then. I read the Dallas paper this morning, and see photos of a Lady telling her husband and 1 year old goodbye as she is about to board a plane to Qatar. Not exactly sure where that is....but positive it's not a safe place. Can't imagine being her!

So......as I sit on my nice quiet patio.....enjoying a cup of coffee, I think about all the Mom's out there that are not exactly sure where their children are, but know they are standing up for our country. Makes me sad, but also gives me piece of mind that Chelsey and Colby are sleeping right here at home.

A few years ago we did a family vacation to Vermont. We flew into NY to change planes. Chelsey and I looked out the plane window as it made it's landing approach and could see the hole that would be called ground zero. Another sight I shall never forget. Didn't get to visit the site, but just a view from the plane window was enough to bring a tear to my eye.

A guy on the plane that went down in the Pennsylvania field said the words "Let's roll" and that was the very last words his wife ever heard him say..... Again, can't imagine! Makes me grateful for all the things I have....even if life gets tough at times....we still "roll."

I know this is a very strange post, but I'm just typing as I think about it all...crazy to have such a heavy heart, for something that happened 9 years ago, but also positive that I'm not the only one!

A great game and a ticket....

So......today one kid got a ticket and the other did not! Your first guess would be incorrect on the "winner".

Next! Celina 56 Pilot Point 35!!!!!! Was a great rough and tumble game. They had several on crutches by the end of the game. Hehe...

Glad it's the weekend. Hope everyone has a good one!

Colby....(Post #3 tonight)

No words to describe....picture says it all!

Bleacher babes (Post #2 tonight)

Okay....figured out that I had picture in html instead of jpg (sound just like I know what I'm talking about huh?)....Chelsey and Haley in their "Bleacher Babes" TShirts. Of course the back of Chelsey's has #40 for DR.... Now, be sure you read my first post from tonight as well. Posting twice, makes up for missing a week!

Hello out there...

Yes...I've been lazy, and missed several days of blogging. Quickly, to catch you up; Friday night, Varsity kicked Prestonwood's tail in football, Saturday a little shopping with Chelsey, Sunday Ashley and the boys came over and we cooked burgers and hot dogs (and this terrible Nana fell asleep on the couch), Sunday Danny and I mowed after our Starbucks run. I actually got a little sun....as I mowed with the PUSH MOWER. Danny is on the zero turn mower and I'm pushing away, at the front yard. I think I shall insist we switch next time. Just a couple of photos to share, Colby being serious and Dallas joking around (LOL, you'll see that I'm kidding)

Colby at football photo/media day, if he doesn't
make it big at football, maybe he'll be a comedian,
and his Mom can retire and laugh right along with him.
And a really good picture of Dallas as the team ran out on the field
Friday night. He played well! Love those Friday Night Lights!
Tried to upload a picture of Chelsey and her friend in their pink "Bleacher Babe" T-shirts, but of course it's not working correctly. Why is it that I have NO problems, unless the photo is of Chelsey. Remember last week when she was cooking? Same problem tonight!
According to my Facebook friend, Rebecca Miller (Channel 33), there is a huge fire in California...possible plane crash is being reported. Guess we'll see. The weather has been RAIN and RAINbows this week....lots of rain. Took me an hour and 40 minutes to get to work yesterday morning. Probably could have walked faster! Oh well, least it was a safe round trip, even in the storms....
Have a great Friday all, I plan too! We play Pilot Point (can you smell the rivalry?) tomorrow night. Can hardly wait. Colby's game was cancelled tonight, since PP has a grass field and not turf. It would have been interesting in the mud!
XOXO,
Pam
P.S. Mom, I hope you got my message.

Week 1 of Friday Night Lights and other things...

Have to be quick.....football game in 54 minutes.....

Chelsey TWO 100's in Physics this week. She's fretting that she may not be able to make it in this class......we should all have such worries!

Colby and crew won 40-0 last night, in the rain and under a rainbow. Was a big time blow out! And, he made a 75 on a Math quiz, he was smiling. Notice the difference in the two? I promise they really are twins, or at least Danny confirms it, as I was asleep with they arrived 16+ years ago.

Danny got the JOB....he starts on the 13th. Makes me kinda sad that if I should take a day off, he will not be home with me.

I have had a HECK of a week again, but I turned that frown upside down today and had a good one. Read a FB post the other day "Some days your the dog and other days your the hydrant." Going to try and stay away from hydrants!

Three day weekend with not a plan at all.....except maybe Starbucks and a nap or two. They say 50 degrees in the morning. Summer just goes away in the blink of an eye! Could just be Road Trip tme for Danny and I again....

XOXO,
Have a great weekend, I plan too!
Pam

P.S. Geez...almost forgot to comment about Friday Night Lights....we play Prestonwood at home tonight. Of course I'm in orange as I head out the door! Hope Dallas gets a sack tonight....since I'll be there to see it this time!

And the purses that Danny shopped for all by himself,
in a store full of women. He even made sure they would clear
his elbow, which is a requirement for me, or I WILL NOT
carry them.... I'll take one when we go to PF Chang with my gift cards!

Thanks to everyone for making my Birthday weekend so special. I think I've smiled for two days!!!
Love to all,
PF

P.S. Chelsey's card said "Mom, when you turn 50, I'll be
21, and we'll celebrate!"
Ugh....I'm going to color my hair now!

A day with the girls...

Had a great day with the girls being kidnapped!
Started out at Starbucks with Chelsey
Then to Ashley's house....my captors, along with flowers,
presents, birthday cake and special cards made by the boys
YUM, Strawberry cake....

And then.....we went to Ink, Inc.
It's a TATTOO PLACE!!!!
Had my belly button pierced for my 40th birthday
Got a tattoo for my 45th!!!
Nothing crazy, or big, just a heart on the inside of my wrist
and YES...it did hurt, but it took less than 10 minutes, so not bad...
probably going back to get a matching heart on the top of my foot!
And then off to PF Changs for my favorite lettuce wraps
and of course candles and dessert!

If you ever want GREAT lettuce wraps...this is the place to go!
And then what you might ask.....
well....home for a nap of course!
Had a fabulous time with three of my very
most favorite girls in the world..
Thank you Ashley, Carla and Chelsey
for making this old gal smile.
Love you bunches.
OHHHH, and Carla already has the idea for my 50th.....
she said a boob job...we shall see....we'll have 5 years to plan it!
XOXO, and thanks again, had a great time!
PF

It's Saturday!!!!!

I always seem to start out with DANG WHAT A DAY or DANG WHAT A WEEK, it's not any different this morning....busy as a bee at work. 12-14 hours a day is a killer, and lots might say WHY do you do it? In the Mortgage world, you have to have compassion.... and remember that customer's lives hang on getting their financing completed as planned. (Megan, you feel the pain, as you wait for yours to be completed, right?) If the ball is dropped, their lives are turned upside down with move plans. Take this week as an example: 1) The K family moved from Slovokia to Longview, Texas with a Steel company DONE 2) Another K family moved from one side of the US to the other DONE 3) Mr G has a tenant lined up already for the home he is closing on Tuesday, that tenant is HOMELESS if I do not get his loan done. 4) Ms G, who's ex husband is threatening to make her sell their joint home (even has a court order), that she now resides in with her 3 kids(two of which are boy/girl 11 year old twins), if we do not get her refinance completed, to take him off the note DONE. She even asked me to come to Delaware to share the bottle of champagne with her after she closed! 5) Mr. L is leaving the country this morning, and he's closing next Friday, everything had to be in order before he could leave, so I stayed until 8:20pm, making sure he was okay and that we had everything for his loan. 6) Or the Mom, Ms K, who's baby is going thru chemo, and we had to get the loan completed before the next treatment, so she could bring him to their new home afterwards. No pressure huh? And this is just a few examples....we close hundreds of these a month and I've been involved in thousands of these examples over my almost 26 year career in this crazy business. It's all worth it when they say thank you... For me it's a tough job, but one that I still love, even after all these years.

Okay enough about work, I've now posted the pictures of Chelsey cooking, washing dishes and the final results....burritos, that were really tasty. I've also posted pictures of my cubicle at work, all decorated for my birthday. Used to have a big fancy office, a few years ago... :-( And lastly, in photos, Celina defeats Ranchview (Carrollton) 62-14 last night. I missed it, because I was making sure Mr. L was taken care of, before he flew out this morning.

Today, at noon, is my birthday surprise from Ashley, Chelsey and Carla. I can hardly wait to see what they have planned. Can't remember the last time I had something really fun to look forward too. Love those three....last time we were together was for Promzilla...maybe I should be Birthdayzilla! Or, better yet, I think I'll just roll with it, and see what they have in store for me.....bet it's a fun day.
Fly safe Mr L, XOXO to all, Pam (half way to 90 tomorrow) Fenter

WOW....

I hope everyone is sitting down for this post.....good stuff, and photos to follow, because for some reason I can't get them to upload! Even my lap top is surprised I guess....

I walked in the house from work tonight (yes, late again) to find Chelsey washing dishes...now let that soak in for a second, it was because she cooked! I was surprised too, she cooked burittos in the oven, like Lauren's mom cooks. They were really good.

Next, Danny tells me that his interview went well today. He'll hear tomorrow if he has the job working for Collin County. He'll probably be a flag man. I'm so proud of him!

Colby? He was sitting in MY recliner watching tv. Good night at the Fenter Funny Farm, hope it's good at your place as well.

XOXO,
Pam

P.S. Loved the text Carla....I could see the smile in it! Love ya!
