How many times will I use the colander?

It's 10:47am and lunch/dinner is all ready!!! Brisket (cooked overnight in crock pot), grilled chicken, smoked sausage, potato salad, ranch potatoes (the kids do not like potato salad), corn on the cob, stuffed jalapenos, devilled eggs, veggie tray, and.....Mixed Baked Beans. This is a new one for me. I've had something similar at family reunions and cook outs, so I decided to try it myself. I used the left over sauce from the brisket, emptied all the beans below into it, added cooked ground meat, and an onion. All are cooking in the crock pot now....we'll see if it's any good!
Danny, who tends to wash dishes as fast as I make the mess (not complaining!)...was just washing the colander for the 5th time, he actually asked me how many times I was going to use it today. I said "AS MANY TIMES AS I NEED TOO, sweetheart!" Such a silly question....he probably doesn't realize that I'll use it now, even if I do not need it!

Even funnier? He and I are home alone.....Chelsey is on her way from Holly Lake Ranch with friends, and then headed to Lake Lewisville with Dallas. Colby is at Lake Texoma with Ashley, Tazz and the boys, they were going tubing today. Least Danny and I will have plenty to eat. Think I'll go find another use for the colender now. Happy Memorial Day!

PF

A trip to Starbucks and.....

A simple trip to Starbucks yesterday morning turned into a Road Trip for Danny and I. We went to my favorite place up north... CHOCTAW!!! Lots of people there, they had a $5000.00 per hour give a way. Never heard my name. Chelsey text that she was not feeling good, and she was at Holly Lake Ranch, so Danny and I jump into the car, and start cutting across country...only to receive another call from her, while we are going thru Bonham (thank goodness no further, or she would have come home no matter what!) she calls back and says never mind, I feel better. Oh to be a 16 year old high maintenance child... I hope she has 5 children someday, all girls.

Got home just as the sun was about to go down. Fished for just a few minutes, caught one crappie, one bass, and a nasty looking mud cat.

Again, bed by 10pm........

Whoosh....what a busy Saturday

Wow, what a busy day! Up early, off to grocery store, back to fling together Taco Salad, jump in the SUV, drive a bit fast to Lovejoy for Ladycat Softball (lost 5-0), drove back home, jumped in shower, grabbed Taco Salad fixings, took off to Point for Danny's Fenter Family Reunion at Point Church of Christ.

Back home by 9:30, and I fell out asleep at 10pm. Today is road trip time....Colby is at Ashley's, Chelsey is going to the lake with friends and Danny and I shall take a Jeep ride until dark.....it's been a while, last time we ended up finding Catfish Races and finally ended our trip in Madill, Oklahoma, before turning around and heading home. Stay tuned for what adventure we find today.

Friday night

It's obvious who got home first last night...
Colby called me at about 10pm, because he knew I was probably worried about him, to say that he was safe and sound at Tyler's watching tv. Chelsey on the other hand, didn't answer my "get home soon" text at 11pm. Amazing the difference in those two!
Ladycats lost game 2 of the series last night, 2-1. Play again (game 3 of 3) today. Winner goes to State Tournament in Austin next weekend. Fingers crossed. One memory of last years game....we drive to Austin, arrive and the campus requires that the fans from the prior game leave the stadium (yes EVERYONE), before they will let fans for the next game in. We all know it's so they can charge for every game...but MAN was it hot last year, no shade, sun roasting all of us as we stood in line. Might be a repeat this year!
Plans for today, grocery store, softball game, Danny's family reunion this afternoon/tonight, and then not sure. We may take a road trip on Sunday, or just veg by the pool. I bought sun screen, either way!
XOXO,
Pam

Can't help but make this statement

Since I have no idea who looks at our blog, besides Megan, Carla, Jeannine, Judy, and Mom....but we've had almost 1000 hits to the blog in recent weeks, I'm going to go out on a limb, to make a statement.

I'm hearing thru the grapevine, that I'm trying to hire people away from my former office. Nothing could be further from the truth. One simple Facebook post, mind you I have 500 Facebook friends, caused alarm as well. I'm recruiting, and have my sights set on building a fabulous team, YES, but not from my former office... So, to whomever might be checking our blog out, I'm flattered to be a topic of conversation.

Pam

12 LONG innings...

Everyone knows how much I enjoy sports here in Celina, right? Well....tonight the Ladycat's Softball team went TWELVE innings and finally pulled it out with a big bat rally of 8-2. Going at it again tomorrow night, to sweep the series, and head to Austin next week. Almost 4 hours on a hard bleacher has taken it's toll on my rear end....tomorrow, I'm taking my cushion!

Colby drop home from the game....and I only text Tyler once to check on them.

Chelsey went with her pal Shelby, who got her license yesterday too. Yep, the Dynamic Fenter Duo is mobile. (sigh)

Happy tomorrow is Friday and ready for a 3 day weekend.

XOXO,
Pam

One down one to go...

One license down, one to go on the 6th.... Still can't believe it. Time sure flies.

That's all I got tonight.

Pam

Mammoth banana pudding!

Whew, what a busy day Tuesday. Arrived at the office at 7am, so that I could get with an Underwriter who said she'd be in at 7:30am......She arrived at 8:15. I'll be nice and stop now.

Colby made a dry run for his license, didn't have the form to prove he took driver's education class. So...today he and Danny shall return. He was very disappointed, but I'd bet today is the day. He's 3 points away in Algebra....I'll bet he can pull it out!!! Yes, I caved, but I shall continue to stay UP HIS BUTT about his grades.

Chelsey will get her license in a little over a week. I think our household is about to take on a whole new life.

I made a triple recipe of banana pudding last night, to take to the office today. It has been a fan favorite at my two previous offices, so we shall see how it goes today.

Danny mowed the front pasture yesterday, and it looks beautiful!!!

Off to dry my hair and start pecking away at my Wednesday. Hope everyone has a good one and Carla....the pool and penny made me smile. Love u! Megan, little one is so dang cute...love his smiles!

XOXO,
Pam

End of the month

End of the month is in full swing at work.....least I missed this in March and April! Oh well, after all these years, I'm used to the frenzy...

Chelsey is at the sports banquet. Danny's awaiting 24 on tv and Colby is starving...guess he and I will run after something to eat really quick.

Maybe more tomorrow...been a crazy busy day! Ready to eat and just kick back for a little while, before hitting the sack.

Picking blackberries...

About the only productive thing I did Sunday was spend an hour picking wild blackberries near the fence rows. Took another nap and then cooked a big dinner for the family.

Sunday, May 23, 2010

Sleepy Saturday

Saturday is a bit of a blur....I took two naps! Not sure why I was so tired, but this morning I feel great, so I guess I needed it. Not much to write about, just a couple of randoms....
Our tomato plants are coming along nicely.
Notice the one down in the flower bed, it must have
came up from last years seeds!

Even Colby and Tyler were lazy....

Today our plan is to cook a late breakfast, spend the day out by the pool, and grill steaks for dinner. Sounds relaxing to me.....

Time to bury St Joseph...

I'd say our For Sale sign is big enough....
time to bury St Joseph and say a little prayer!
Lady Cats win!!! #1 and #2 in the State for 3A met tonight for game two
of a series....Celina won last night and AGAIN tonight. Such a great game!
Sure hope we get to go to Austin in 2 weeks....They will play
either Paris North Lamar or Princeton for State Semi Final round.
PNL won last night and
as we were leaving the Celina game tonight, their second game was in
extra innings tied at 0-0. Not sure where they will play next,
but it will be a great series, I'm sure!

Colby and Chelsey will both have their license within the next 10 days.
That is a tough sentence to type....can't believe it!

Week two at work was great...really settling in now.
Like it more and more each day.
Great group to work with!
I'm happy!!!!!!!!!!

Off to bed...night time meds are kicking in.
Oh, and sorry Carla, to partially ruin Grey's Anatomy for you last night.
You have to admit it was the BEST one ever....love that show.

Love to all...enjoy your weekend, I know I will.

PF

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Okay...okay...it's been three days!

For Jeannine and Carla...sorry to miss the past three days. I've had allergy issues, and taken knock out meds, so it's been early to bed for me.

Things are kinda quiet and dull around the Fenter Funny Farm. Colby is counting down the days until he gets his license...that is IF he's passing Algebra. Amazing the interest he has suddenly taken in his grade for that class, when I said "I'll sell the truck and you'll NEVER get your license, if you are not passing Algebra!"

Chelsey had to have not one but TWO dresses...we shopped for them in Allen last night. One is for the FFA Banquet (yes, she loves FFA) and the other is for the Athletic Banquet. I'm about Banqueted and Prommed out.... Bring on summer, bathing suites, shorts and flip flops. Enough of this fancy stuff!

Now, Jeannine and Carla...your turn!

XOXO,
Pam (aka, the one that has had a blog for over a year now)

Nice quiet Sunday

Have had a nice quiet Sunday.....Chelsey went to the lake with Dallas (hum, I wrote that as if one has something to do with the other). Colby and Tyler fished. I ran to the grocery store, returned and had hot dogs and hot links for lunch. Afterwards I had an almost 2 hour nap. As I woke up, Danny went down for a nap. And Colby has been asleep as well....even Lily is stretched out on the cool hardwoods snoozing... Think I'll go fish for a little while.

Starting back up on the HCG Diet tomorrow....so I shall have something REALLY good for dinner tonight.

XOXO,
Pam

House is finally on a couple of web sites...

http://dallasnews.sawbuck.com/property/Dallas_Metro/75009_Celina/3728252-7494-W-Fm455

Now let's see if this sucker sells.....Photos are not the best, description has a couple of errors, for sale sign is a bit small, once all these things are corrected, I'll be putting Saint Joseph in the ground for good luck!

Pam

A great Saturday for Celina, Texas

It must be something in the water....or just a great Sophomore class.... Varsity Softball girls beat Argyle in game two of the series. One step closer to state. Danny and I ventured out to Wills Point to watch them win 4-0. Was a great game!

While we were on the road east, a couple of dynamos were in Austin at the State Track Meet. Both took 1st place, again as Sophomores.....

Kaylyn Schulz Gold in the high jump! 5 foot 6 inches on final attempt!

Jordan Roos Gold in the Shot Put (notice he cast, he has a broken foot!) 59+ feet!

It's fun to be at the Softball game and everyone is watching Facebook and their texts for results out of Austin. Such an exciting day!
Maybe that's the reason I fell asleep on the couch at 8:30pm....

One week!!! TGIF!!!

Made it thru my first week....received first pay check....and still really like it! I'd say that is a triple crown week. A few photos to document:
As I get off the Tollway and on to 121 in Frisco, this is
my favorite sign....every morning this week, it has said
"Travel time to 35, EIGHT minutes"
I do not care if my trip is 80% tollway now,
it's the best commute I've had in my entire career
of working in Dallas!!!!
Danny had me a bit worried about the traffic near 121 and 35, which is right
by my new office. This is a picture of Friday afternoon 5:45pm, on my way home.
There are exactly TWO cars in sight. Love it love it!!!
And lastly.....Colby and Tyler fished, while Danny and I went to dinner.
Tyler called my cell phone ALL EXCITED because Colby caught a BIG BASS.
She (full of eggs) weighed in at exactly 6 pounds and could have
easily eaten Tyler's fish in one bite....

Today is Softball Playoffs and tonight, who knows, maybe a trip to Oklahoma...

Thursday...

For Sale sign is now up by the fence... House is not on the web site yet, but should be soon.

Today, I got to dig my teeth in a bit at work. Spent the day meeting with multiple people in multiple positions. Tomorrow will be the same.

Hopefully by the end of day tomorrow, I'll have a really good understanding of the set up, and what my action plans will be. I know that one task is to HIRE 2-3 Loan Processors. Going to put my feelers out!

Wednesday-Hump Day!

FINALLY....training in a classroom setting is over, and today I got to spend my first day in the office, or shall I say cubicle... Oh well, it's a tall cubicle, with glass windows to look out. I'll take it. It's been 15+ years since I sat in a cube, so very strange. Good day over all, just trying to get acclimated to the systems, and learn the names of many people. There are 1700+ employees total, only about a third of those are in the same building at I. Maybe have to resort to those stick on name tags that say "My name is _____."

Off to watch American Idol.... Danny cooked hot dogs and french fries tonight, and I was STARVING by the time I got home at 6pm. While off, I had dinner cooked everyday by 5pm, so I'm going to have to adjust to the extra hour!

Pam

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Day two...

Day two was uneventful....training class all day again. At about 2pm, I started to wilt. Hard to sit still that long...we finished up a few minutes after 4pm and we are DONE with formal classroom training. Tomorrow I get to see if I have a desk, and where it is... Chelsey and I had dinner together, and now I'm sleepy! I'll bet I do not see 10pm.

Colby and Danny went to Denton to watch Celina Girls play Argyle in Softball. Just received a text, Celina 10 Argyle 0...final score!!! Very nice...

Have a good one, I'm going to lay in my recliner.

Pam

Monday, May 10, 2010

First day.....

Day one, back in the work force, was great! In a training classroom all day. A few facts, I left home this morning at 7:07am and arrived at the office at 7:50am. Round trip was 75 miles today. Speed limit on the Tollway and 121 (well over half my trip) is 70 mph. So....although a little further in distance than Plano, because of the lack of lights and increased speed, it actually takes me less time now!

Tomorrow is training, all day long, again... Then I should be able to go to my new office, instead of corporate, so that I can start my new adventure.

Note to Carla, glad you found the dirt under the red tips and not the snake, it looks fabulous! I'm sure you'll pass out soon...and I can only imagine what Winnsboro thinks of one of their newest residents riding thru town on a bicycle (remember Cyclone?), LOL. Love ya!

Nice, quiet Mothers Day!

Summary of my Mothers Day....

Laundry...
Gift certificates from Danny to my favorite nail place in Frisco.
Breakfast in Anna with Colby, Danny, Ashley, Tazz, Colton and Dylan.
Laundry...
WalMart trip for lunch items
To gas station to fill up and run thru car wash....pump didn't ask me if I wanted a car wash, so car still dirty!
Laundry...
Cooked early dinner (notice there was no lunch!)
Dishes and water my next shrubs and flowers (brrr, it's chilly out there!)
And as I sit and type this, I hear the dryer running, with Chelsey's clothes and the washer running with Colby's.

First day back to work tomorrow. It's been a stressful, fun filled, worried, awesome 10 1/2 weeks off. I've cooked, cleaned, planted flowers, trimmed trees, burned brush piles, fished, shopped, landscaped with Carla and Ashley, went to Starbucks with Danny, taken the kids to school, saw my cousins precious baby boy who turned one on April 15th, picked them up from school, took them lunch at school, had a mani/pedi in the middle of the day, taken a few naps (although not many!), been to Braum's just for ice cream, visited Carla and Paul twice, put out a bird feeder, swept the garage what seems like 100 times, played with Lily, watched Duke eat T-Bone steak left overs, celebrated the kids birthday, Mothers Day and had a blast in general! So....with mixed emotions, I'll load up and head to Lewisville tomorrow morning, for two days of training, and then hit my desk on Wednesday. My new adventure begins...

Thanks to everyone that kept my spirits up during this time....you know who you are, and I love you!

Mother's Day....a day early!

We made our usual whirlwind holiday trip today.... First to Greenville, to visit Mary (mother in law) and clan. Had a nice lunch and visit.

Next stop....Mom and Dad's house in Emory. And there, we waited and waited and waited for Dad to get home. Ashley, Colton, Dylan and Colby went out to the Sale Barn and the boys LOVED it....didn't want to leave. Ashley brought Colby back to the house and took the boys BACK to watch the sale some more....Dylan wasn't too keen on the hot shot, but after explaining that it really wasn't hurting the cows (course we don't know that for sure....I mean I've NEVER had a hot shot put to my skin, have you?), all was great. After Dad got home and Mom got her two yellow rose bushes, we all loaded up and went to AJ's on Lake Fork. I'd say this is one of Colby's all time favorites, the boy loves him some buffet... Those attending were Mom, Dad, Colton, Dylan, Carla, Paul, Danny, Ashley and I. Notice a few names missing? Dallas and Chelsey had to get back to a birthday party, Tazz was at home sleeping after fishing in a tourney all day, Katelyn was studying for finals, and Morgan just didn't make it...
And....I got a purse from Vera Bradley and matching flip flops...a bracelet which is a replica of one that Jackie Kennedy used to wear, a beautiful card and book, gift card, and key faub. Great Mother's Day for me!
Only one thing could make it complete...........if Morgan would make a trip to Winnsboro and just give her sweet Mom a hug, that would make it a great Mother's Day for all of us.
I hear Danny snoring....or maybe it's Lily. I'm off to sleep a while.
Happy Mother's Day and thank you to Ashley, Chelsey and Colby for making it so special, I love you all!!!
Pam

Slacker...missed posting Thursday and Friday!

Thursday was spent finishing up my quest to clean up the house. All DONE....now, don't anyone move around here or something will be out of place! Finally threw in the towel on our azaleas and tore those suckers out along with the two yucca plants in the front of the house. Planted boxwoods (I don't think I will kill these!) and some other shrub in their place. Planted a few more flowers as well. After that, we took off for Denton to see the Girl's Softball team beat Kennedale in round one of a series....one step closer to a return to State!!! Prior to leaving, Danny sunned a little in his Speedo (yes, I said Speedo). Realtor called...sign will be up very soon (sigh).

Friday was up and out early, manicure, pedicure, eyebrow wax, oil change, and a little shopping. Danny had to pick Chelsey up from school, because I didn't make it back in time. Tootled around the house a little bit then took I off for Denton to see Celina beat Kennedale AGAIN!!! Area Champs, now on to Regionals... The boys won too, they plan again today, in Frisco. Would be great to see both teams advance to State.

Stopped at Mc Cocina in Plano to see old friends from Centex/Fox & Jacobs/CityHomes. We laughed and talked about all the trips we used to take, or as we called it, "The Good Ole Days."

Have a great day all, we're going to be celebrating Mother's Day. My request? Minnows, breakfast at Swaggers and fishing on Sunday. I'm easy!

Pam

Thursday, May 6, 2010

Wow....class rings?

Chelsey and Colby came home from school with this order booklet...

Sure sign that the next two years are going to fly by!
Can hardly believe they will be Juniors next year.

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

My quest is almost complete!

Guest bedroom closet and laundry room clean....Paint touch up done! Realtor visited this afternoon. He's going to look at comps and give us his opinion on pricing tomorrow, then the sign goes up. I was in tears before he got out of the driveway, but I'll live!

Dinner tonight was sandwiches....Danny and the kids were definitely surprised, but it was easy for me to throw together. Guess I'll enjoy cooking dinner for them two more weeknights....before I return to work and commuting home at the time we've been eating dinner. Thinking about having the three of them come up with their own menu, one night each. We'll see how that goes...

Oh, also bought squash (yellow and zucchini), onions and cantalope plants this morning. Going to plant a mini garden in an old tractor tire. Photos to follow I'm sure.

Night,
Pam

A clean attic....

I'm sure your tired of my posts about cleaning out our house, but it helps me to see that I am making progress, so just stick with me until I finish! This morning, I hit the cabinets in our bathroom first thing. I'll bet I threw away 50 bottles of this and that, with a tablespoon of product remaining. Why did I even bother putting it back I the cabinet? Oh well....I can't be the only one that does this!

Next came the media room upstairs. Moved the couch, vaccumed, cleaned the sink, took out trash (actually let it roll down the stairs), and all is great up there now.

Next....the attic. Lord, even at about 10am, it was already roasty up there. Straightened as best I could. Organized all the extra floor tiles, paint, etc. And then shoved a few X-mas decorations around. Much better than before I started. Mom, have you ever cleaned your attic? :-)

Got a call from my new employer, NationStar mid morning, to come in for the formal offer process, get all the forms and take a Drug Test. Ran by the lab, before flying home (36 minutes from house to the office) to pick Chelsey up from school. I'm going to miss doing this, but am greatful that I got too for 10 weeks now....they will be driving soon, so it really has been my very last chance to do it.

Steaks on the grill (the kids dinner request), potatoes on the stove, salad, and grilled egg plant...YUM. Danny and I sat down to watch tv and the lotto projections came on, so......we loaded up and ran to Anna for lotto tickets. Just so you know, if we win, I'm NOT starting my new job Monday, LOL.

Tomorrow is the day the realtor we want to use returns from a Vegas Golf Trip. I'm positive he'll have a laundry list of things we still need to do to the house, just hope it's not a long one, as I'm running out of days off!!!

Off to watch the news....I hear the press is all over Rick Perry mentioning "Act of God" with the recent oil tanker spill. For goodness sakes....why doesn't he talk about something like getting rid of the freaking TAKS testing.

Not something you see very often...

Two things we do not see very often at our house......
A double rainbow....and....

A clean pantry!!!!!!!

So....in my continuing quest to get this house clean, today Chelsey and I took everything, and I mean everything, out of our walk in pantry. We checked ever date (the most expired thing was chicken soup, expired in 2007) and cleaned every shelf, and then organized. Looks good. The only thing that interrupted us was the sight of a double rainbow in the sky. I think that means something good, a friend said it meant a double pot of gold...hum...

Had lunch with a friend in Plano today. Stopped at Stein Mart, since I was right there beside it....came home and took Chelsey to doctor. Meds and she'll be good as new in a day or two. Cooked dinner and cookies (Megan, I used a Devil's Food Cake mix and made Funfetti Cookie recipe with chocolate and sprinkle icing. I refrained from trying, but everyone else said they were great!), cleaned pantry, washed dishes and now, here I sit after 11pm, finally posting on our Blog.

Now....since our house is somewhere around 4300 square feet (excluding the two garages), and I've cleaned out every room and closet, except one in the guest room and the media room upstairs....I'd say I'm about 400-450 square feet from finished. Then, I have to straighten the attic up and both garages... And touch up paint. I may actually make it, before the Realtor we are going to use gets back into town Wednesday. I think if ANYONE dares mess it up again, I'll have to go get me a switch off a tree. The trash guy may come after me with one if I do not stop having "over the limit" bags each week!

Remember the double rainbow! Pam

P.S. I have to take a drug test for the new job....this will be one test that I'll have no issue passing! Unless it picks up my Simply Sleep, Night Night :-)

Nice quiet Sunday...

Prom 2010 is now history. I went to bed at 2am this morning, after I had located Chelsey and Colby.... Colby decided to catch up with the after party last night. Both were home by a little after 10 this morning. Cooked lunch, hugged Carla and Paul goodbye and had a four hour nap. Danny and I celebrated living thru Prom, we discussed margaritas on a patio....wound up with ice cream at Braum's in Van Alstyne. :-) Party animals that we are these days...

Let the count down to summer begin now....after all, we MUST always have something going on around here that requires a count down!

Have a great week!
Pam

Thank you!!!

We had a few calamities today, as Prom came together, so I thought I'd share!
Please enjoy this post....and then post 11 thru 1 of our Prom journey...
First of all, a BIG THANK YOU to Carla and Ashley.....
They were photographers, make up specialists, hair stylists,
counselors, smiles and entertainment!
Chelsey and I really appreciate you coming along for the fun today!

Now...on to the funny stuff that happened!

Danny asleep in his chair, guess he's not worried about Chelsey and Dallas tonight!

There is no actual picture of this, but the Moon above is appropriate:
Carla and Ashley are walking thru the mall, looking for a bracelet for Chelsey.
A woman with no hand, just an arm, comes running up to Carla and informs her
that her dress is caught in her purse and she's "showing quite a bit" to those
at the Frisco Mall......thought I'd die laughing when they told me this story!

The Party Bus has a Dance Pole....Ashley HAD to try it, before everyone arrived and loaded up!

She LOVED it....can you tell?

And then they HAD to have their picture taken together inside of the school.....

And Colby, being a sport, came up to the school to see them load up on the Party Bus. I talked him into kissing the statue.....such a trooper!

Again, THANK YOU Carla and Ashley for making it fun.....Love you both!!! Pam

Prom Post #11

As you can see the theme of the Prom was "A Midnight in Paris...." As I sit and type this at almost midnight in Celina, I think of many things....first, why on earth did I post the pictures in reverse? You'll see what I mean as you look at this Prom Post 11 and backward to number 1... I wanted to show the end of the journey first and then how it all came together. We have about 200 photos total, and not all are posted, but there are a bunch for you to enjoy. Tonight, I cried as Chelsey walked out all "dressed up and beautiful." Dallas even got choked up when he saw her....I thought my heart would burst! I'm going to take you back just over 16 years ago for a moment....Chelsey arrived into this world, just a minute behind her brother, and was so tiny...I missed the first 3 days of her life, because they were in a different hospital than I. When I did get to lay eyes on my precious babies....I sat and talked to each one separate, coaxing them to make it, even though so tiny. First, I had a Mom chat with Colby, about sports, fishing, his first truck, and willing him to breath, so we could enjoy it all together. Then I moved to Chelsey....I told her she'd be my precious baby girl, to wear bows (although she ALWAYS screamed later when i put them in), shop with, bake with, dress up for Prom....and she fought for her life, so that tonight could happen. We've had a round or two over this prom, and I didn't request that when I chatted with her in the isolet so many years ago, but it's that strong will that got us to this day. Tonight she was a beautiful young lady, the one I talked of that afternoon in the NICU at Baylor Hospital. Thank you Chelsey, for making me smile, cry, laugh, frown, and most of all, for making me one proud Mom. I love you with all my heart.

Now, if you've stuck with me this far, I hope you'll enjoy the next 10 posts, as our first memory of Prom was created...

Pam
