Update!

65-50 win. They play in Austin Thursday afternoon. Hummm...

We always laugh!

left work early yesterday so that Chelsey and I could make it to Commerce for the girls basketball game. Won it and they play again today....if they win...it's off to the state tournament next weekend. Just may have to visit Austin!

Afterward we headed to Winnsboro to see Sister Carla, Paul, Morgan and Dylan. We laughed and watched tv until almost midnight. Love getting to visit, even if it's not as often as I'd like. Love you sister Carla!

Today well head back to Commerce...sure hope those girls win it!

Can't sleep AGAIN!

3:30am and here is sit.....in my recliner with Tank. He is snoring and I am NOT. I think all the vitamins, metabolizers, efa's etc that I am taking for my diet is causing insomnia. Today when I visit the Center to weigh in (8 pounds so far!) I shall ask what the heck I can do. Even took my sleeping pulls and they only lasted a few hours.

Arrived home last night to Chelsey and Shelby laughing in her room. Colby was watching tv and wanted me to teach him how to cook boiled eggs. It's the little things that make me smile!! Danny was out due to a guard rail damage near Lake Lavon.....people are he'll on those things! He arrived home at almost 9pm asking who was voted off American Idol. LOL....Chelsey and I officially have him hooked!

Today is the next to the last day for refinances to close and as of last night my team was at 95 percent of projections, so although a little ways to go, it's not a mountain to climb in two days!

Got a text from Tylers Mom that she was fuming mad....Friday his grades were fine, so baseball was ON. Wednesday she gets a call that he's not passing one class,, so he can't play. She was fuming and so am I. Her plan is to visit the school today....I told her if she needed help laying into them....call me. Just BS and Tyler is devastated...can't have this happen with only 3 months left of school! I reminded his mom that Mama Bears protect their cubs. aLWAYS! Hopefully they see her point and he's back on the baseball field very soon.

Dad...glad you are feeling a little better and able to get out and about a little.

Now...I am going to try and ,ay still and sleep a little longer. If not, then I think I'll go into the office....should be nice and quiet there!

What holiday?

Worked today....even though it was a holiday for the office. About 10 of my staff came in, so i went too. Made lots of progress with minimal interruption.....winner winner!

Cooked yesterday.....Creamy Bacon Carbonaro, Mom's Apple Cake, Funfetti Chex Mix, and Baked Chicken and Beef. (all found on pinterest.com) Yes...I stuck with my diet. No....I have not had a cigarette. It's now been 10 days and counting. Each day is a little easier. I have lots of time on my hands when I am not sitting in the garage by myself....this is the reason I cooked all morning then met Sharon for Bingo. We went to Arapaho Bingo instead of our usual place. We switched because they have earlier sessions....but we quickly determined that we like the old place better.

Just finished reading Marla's post about Grace, who is two now. Megan, one day I just have to meet Grace and Parker....the stories make me smile!

Off to finch my 80 ounces of water fornthe day and 1/2 an orange....and more meat. I have only one more day of 2-3 pounds of meat in a day. YES, it is a lot of meat, trust me!

Can't sleep...

I've tossed and turned for the past hour so now here I sit, in my recliner at four in the morning. Yawning.... Another busy week. Chelsey and Colby are really focused on college stuff at the moment. They are so excited to start the next chapter after High School!

Soooo....today marks one week without a cigarette! And I am UP 8 pounds, soooo, now I have to get serious about dieting again. If it's not one thing it's another, damn it.

3 day weekend coming up, but I am the only one off Monday in our house, so I'm just going to work and take a day off another time.

Going to Greenville tomorrow for my Mother in Law, Mary's, 80th birthday party. She said if we didn't throw her a party, she was going to throw her own.

Happy Valentines... Made a haul with Bath and Body Works stuff from Danny and the kids. They will all smell great, since I got perfume and cologne all around. Dinner in Celina and pj's by 9pm. Success!

The red carpet is always interesting to watch.... The talk is Whitney Houston. Wonder what Lady Gaga will show up in....last year it was meat.

Today's movie for Chelsey and I was "The Vow". Pretty good movie. True story. I'd see it again.

And yes...Danny is at work. Hopefully the roads do not get bad, and require sand, but he is out there just in case...

Paul, Carla, Mlorgan Katelyn....so sorry to hear of your loss of Daddy Shy. I am with Jeannine, I only met him a couple of times, but what a cool guy. Paul....keep your chin up. The inhabitants of the FFF love you!

Busy week, non stop meetings and dinners and making Valentines as a Fund raiser for Project Graduation. Will all be worth it when I have two graduates at Speed Zone on the night of graduation, all night long, instead of out on the roads....

Off to take my sleeping pills.

Giants win it!

Great Super Bowl game....Brady kept me on the edge of my recliner till the final seconds...but he didn't pull it off. Had a great Sunday....cooking and just being at home. Love these kinda days!

Now, we have to wait until August for football fever again. Going to have to get all engrossed in some other sport in the mean time.

Deal or dud?

Ever watch Deal or dud on the news? I do....today I have had my own of sorts. Bought a Nuwave aoven yesterday at the "as seen on tv" store in the Frisco Mall. Yes...lured in by the infomercial!

Soooo....I cook roasted potatoes and squash, cornbread, chicken, steak and boundan in it and I will say DEAL. If I could have figured out how to cook the red beans in it, I would have. Nothing is greasy and all was full of flavor. Will have to let you know how it cleans up. Mom and Aunt Barbara say it's easy, we shall see. At the moment I am too full to even try and wash it!

Now...time to kill, doing laundry, before Tom Brady and the cool commercials take over our tv and afternoon....Colby just left to go help a friend clean house and get ready for the game. WHAT????? His room looks like one from the show Hoarders and he's cleaning someone elses house? Chelsey is holed up in her clean room, watching tv. Danny is awake in his recliner, for the moment anyway.

Guess I will go see what I can find to get into...it will NOT be cleaning Colby's room. He and his friends can do that!

Glad your feeling a little better Dad....and thanks Mom and Aunt Barbara for the Nuwave tips. I like it so far!

Double recipe!

Pot Luck luncheon at work....the request was Banana Pudding or Sopapilla Cheesecake so I made a double recipe of both! Also put a wagon together and bought a few baby gifts to go inside it. And was in bed by 10:30. Having a baby shower for one of my staff. His little boy, Parker Crue, is scheduled to arrive February 15th. Also have a training class and a conference call. Busy Friday, the day will surely go by fast, so no complaints here.

Jamarick, one of Colby's close buddies and one of my other sons signed a full ride scholarship to Midwestern State in Witchita Falls yesterday. Sure going to be strange when all of these kids are not running in and out of our doors...at all hours of the day and night....eatting everything in the refrigerator and pantry...sigh. LOL.

Punxawhatever Phil saw his shadow....6 more weeks of winter. If this is winter, we'll take it!

Now I am off to figure out if the wagon will fit into my car along with two desserts.
