Our Saturday

Up and out with Chelsey and Colby, our plan was to hit CVS, Academy, Old Navy and eat lunch. Mission accomplished! The kids got a little tired of the time it took for me to get my damn boot on and off, but other than that we made it just fine. Academy was pretty busy...lots of people milling around the football stuff. Just makes me more ready for Friday Night Lights to start again.

Our stop at CVS was for a blood pressure monitor. Colby was 148/84. Later it was 140/81. Coach is going to check him in the morning and I am going to get him into a doctor as well.

Bingo last night was not eventful...as in no fall but no win either. A guy won 2 games on a row for $750.00. Then a lady across from us won 2 games as well. Sharon and I refrained from escorting them out tyler's Mom went with me. We had a great time laughing and talking. Oh, and not winning.

Sitting on the patio at this moment, listening to the birds sing. I think I heard one say that it was going to be another HOT Sunday!

Off to clean, so everything is in it's place for our showing sometime today.

The smell of pigskin...

Just got back from ordering my Senior Mom football jersey. I have to pause after I typed that. 2 a days start Monday. Got a few Celina shirts too, mostly for Chelsey. What will I be buying next year at this time? College books I suppose. (sigh). Mixed emotions at we start the gear up to their senior year. Soooooo ready to see what their next chapter is, but also can not believe that it's all going to be over in 10 months. 10 months from tomorrow, now that I think about it.

Colby went for his physical Thursday and his blood pressure was high. Back yesterday, still too high. They would not clear him, so, we will be visiting the doctor again Monday, and possibly a cardiologist. He is so down....he came home last night and said "Mom, this sucks, it's my Senior year.". I said I know son, we'll figure it out, so don't worry. Life is not without challenges at the FFF.

Chelsey is going to Billy Bob's tonight for a concert. She's NOT driving, another Mom is. She's so excited!

Danny and I made it thru one week of him working nights. I have already seen him more this morning, that I have all week. It's an adjustment, but we'll make it.

House showing tomorrow, to the wife that wants a pool and lake. Husband came Wednesday, and liked It. Again, hope she does too!

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. I think I will go sit in my recliner and watch the History Channel with Danny. Have missed that this week! Ohhhh, and YES, I did get to use the remote control all week. We may wrestle over it today!

He liked it!

Mr "interested in our house" came today....he liked it. He's bringing Mrs "interested in our house" back on Sunday. She's the one that wants a pool and lake....please pray she falls in love as she drives up the driveway. This could be the one!!!!

Foot is green and purple today. Still swollen...still REALLY sore. Morgan, or shall I say Nurse Morgan....is purple and green a good thing?

Time for a beer....to celebrate tomorrow being the end of this month!!!

P.S. Megan...search for Pioneer Woman's Milky Way Cake. Made it night before last for work. It is to.die.for.... Nothing lite about it, just pure sinfully wonderful.

Quick ankle update....it's purple now. And as Tyler said tonight "it's way fatter than the other one.". Yes, he lived and i still love that kid. And, when it is 104 outside, my foot is probably 150 in the boot. Ugh...

A boot...

Bingo last night with Susan and Sharon....as Susan and I walked to the car, I stepped in a big hole. Left foot went in it first, so I slammed my fight foot down to stop the fall. Right foot went into the hole too, down I went. Soooooo....this morning Care Now, x-rays, no broken bones but a "severe sprain" as the doc put it. So, here it is 100+ degrees and I get to wear a giant black boot for 2-3 weeks. I will say, it feels much better with the boot that without. Even slept in the boot for 4 hours today. Can't drive with it, so I take it off and put it back on when I get out of the car. Fun stuff.

Danny started working nights as of today....he went in at 8pm and gets off at 5am. I will probably see him as I leave in the mornings this week. But, at least the temps are a little better at night, the heat is tough on him.

Home alone now. Colby is at the lake. Chelsey is at the movies. Lily is visiting the neighbor, so it is very peaceful on the patio at the moment. Hot as heck, but quiet....

A new Realtor!

We now have a new realtor to help us sell the house....this will be the 3rd technically and I always hear the third one is the one that sells it. Soooooo, I have cleaned again from top to bottom. He said "move that ole jeep" so Danny pushed me in it night before last, to hide it behind the building. No tires, won't run, can barely steer it. I only jumped out of it TWICE because I got scared that he was going to flip me over. I had Chelsey come outside with her cell phone in case of emergency, she could call 911. We escaped without injury. Then we moved the deer feeder. nO we do not feed deer here, Danny just set it up one day for some reason. Everyone that visits asks about it. Next we started on the dirt daubers in the garage. Half way done there. First showing with Scott is Saturday. It's a rich couple and the wife wants a house with a pool and lake. CHECK, we have both....please pray she loves it. I am going to put the mounted 7+ pound bass that Colby caught out in plain sight.... Also going to place a rod and reel here and there. And towels by the pool. Make it look inviting....

Been a few days since my last post, not much going on. 19 days till Dallas leaves for college, not that I am counting, or planning to call and see if he needs extra suit cases... That might be misunderstood, but just want to make sure he gets off to Arkansas as planned. Just saying...

Morgan, love the blog. No pictures please....Aunt Pam might faint! Katelyns will be fun to read too. Oh for the life of enjoying your last year of college.

Off to clean the kitchen. Left overs sure leave a mess.... Donny and Susan are coming up this weekend. Maybe they will bring us good luck with the house!

Jealous!

So... Carla and Paul went to Mexico. Megan and crew went south. Todd is now retired (I think I missed something here) I think I'll just work all the time....and forever! So there...

Nothing exciting this week. Actually ready for school to start back....I like routine much better than this free for all we have going on.

Bingo...again

Saturday night Bingo was fun with Sharon and Ashley....they BOTH won $250.00. Me...not so much. Ashley took Tazz back this afternoon and she split a pot taking home $350.00. She text "OMG I love it!". Made me laugh...

Got my car serviced and new tires yesterday. Today...Starbucks and Kroger. Danny likes their fruit, for his lunch, better than any other place and it works out well for us, because they are practically next door to each other.

Carla, we had enchilladas in a bowl tonight. Please post your "bacation" photos on your blog...or at least post something.

Back to work tomorrow. May be headed to Denver, not sure yet. Lake Tahoe in early August. Not as exotic as I used to do, but travel just the same.

Thank goodness it is Saturday! This week has been a blast (sarcasm). The news has been very sad:

A mom gets away with murder....how in the he'll does this happen? Forget reasonable doubt. She didn't report her missing for 30 days. I just don't get it. I also predict that she will have to move to a foreign country to ever have any sort of life again. Someone will shoot her down here.

Also watched the video of the guy who fell at the Ranger game. Right in front of his 6 year old. My heart breaks over this one. I've had to watch Ashley go thru 21 years without her Mom as she once knew her. Just shows things can change in a flash.

This morning I read that cousin Sandy's house burned early Tuesday morning. Again, in a flash, things change.

On a high note, Dave Campbell's Football book is out. Yep, Celina picked #1 in district again. Ready for the Friday Night Lights again, we went out way to early last year. He has us 8th in the state....

Carla, looks like you had a great vacation...love the off the shoulder green dress, beautiful! Megan, Hayden is so dang cute! Marla, those girls are precious. Mom and Dad, hope all is well with you, didn't get home last night in time to call and check on you.

Bingo!

Or NOT Bingo.... Just got home from Plano Bingo with my friend Sharon. Had a great time. Dang the place was hot, full of people and lots of fun. But never got to yell BINGO... Sharon went last night and won $450.00. I must be bad luck.

Today....Starbucks, Home depot, Lowes, Best Buy, Crows for lunch and back home. And believe it or not, Danny was with me! Got him a new lap top for his birthday, which is Wednesday. He seems to like it. It is ashamed that I enjoy Home Depot and Lowe's as much as he does. Finally found (after living here almost 5 years) some really good granite counter top cleaner/polish. Going to work on all of them tomorrow. The counter tops in the kitchen are sparkling. Bathrooms are next!

Chelsey and Colby stayed home today. When I left for Bingo, Danny and Chelsey had just gotten out of the pool. Toooooo dang hot for me. I sat in the shade, then washed the concrete around the pool.

Tomorrow we are staying home. Cook a little. Maybe fish a little and shine the granite....sounds like a perfect 4th to me!

Ice cream run...

Braums just makes for a perfect ending to a busy week. Colby and I ran after ice cream, picked Tyler up on the way home and now I am settled into bed and so sleepy I can barely hold my head up.

Weekend plans? Not sure yet.....Bingo with a friend tomorrow night, possibly. Fireworks somewhere.....but not at home. Too dry.

We shall see what we get into at the FFF over the long, much needed, weekend.
