Please note that I am now officially showing all the blogs I follow. Most are complete strangers, but I found the blogs thru numerous other blogs. Not a satlker....most are premie babies that just touched my heart, and now I like to keep up with them. Maybe you'll enjoy following them as much as I do.
Grocery store trip and Starbucks trip done. Lunch cooked. Time for a little remote wrestling with Danny!

Easy like Sunday morning...
Oh how I love the quiet of Sunday mornings.... Nice breeze blowing. Car washed before 7 am. Birds singing. Dry grass blowing. Flowers all perky before the heat gets them down. So peaceful on the patio at the moment.
I did not go to Bingo last night. Danny and I went to Braums in Van Alstyne. Dallas leaves today. Chelsey waited around until 8pm for him to call or stop by. Notta...she finally headed over to Shelby's. Hope he's all packed and ready.
Had lunch with Ashley, Tazz and the boys. Olive Garden was the choice and we all enjoyed it, except Colton. He was PISSED that he had to get out and leave his friends house and the xbox. Oh well, he lived....no goodbye kiss for Nana either.
Went for follow up on my ankle. Still swollen and warm to the touch...two weeks of this is for the birds. Doctor thinks I may have a soft tissue tear. MRI prescription in hand now. Going one day this week in Frisco. After that, who knows. Just tired of the boot. He said for me to sleep in it. I am pretty sure that when I turn over during the night, it makes the whole bed shake!
No plans today, except to clean the house. Danny goes to work this afternoon. The kids will be out and about. I think I am going to make a few tie blankets. Need to get rid of a bunch of fleece I have accumulated.
Have a good day and enjoy the morning breeze....before the heat returns in an hour or so! And in case you missed it above, Dallas leaves today.

Whew....TGIF!
Glad this week is over...never get a minute to breath at work. This afternoon I had 3 people in my office for a meeting, an appointment waiting for me, phone ringing (cell and desk phone), multiple people in and out and a hundred emails popping up. It was insane!
Colby's texts me everyday with his blood pressure reading...yesterday it was 129/78. Whohoo! Meds are working. He also said he was down 0 pounds. It is so strange to see him eat a salad!
We had a showing scheduled for 6pm this afternoon...same coup,e that our realtor has been trying to get out here. He emailed at 3pm that they couldn't make it. Going to try for next weekend. Getting tired of making sure there is no underwear on the floor, toothpaste in the sink and smell good in the toilets.
Off to bed....

Dr appointment results
Didn't start off good....Dr said if he was guessing the age of Colby by looking at his heart, he'd say 40. I about fainted....then he asked a bunch of questions..... So, the good news is, with the right diet, lose 50 pounds, card and less weight lifting, no more sports supplements, no more Monster drinks, no more beer, and take meds, it can be reversed over time. He picked up bp meds on way home and we go back in 2 weeks for a stress test. If bp is down and test okay, he'll clear him for football. Dr expects 2 weeks to be much better if he follows all of the above. Colby seemed releaved. If dr had said NO MORE FOOTBALL, not sure how Colby would have reacted. My bet is not good at all. Now, he just has to grow up a little and do as he is told with all this....so glad the dr took the time to talk with him and us, we were there an hour and 45 minutes. Small office, not in a hospital and dr (although not from the states) was very nice and patient.
Now....DAMN it is hot. 111 per car temp on way to dr from work. I think with all of the above, it is time for fat old unhealthy Mom to join Colby in eatting better, set a quit smoking date and set an example for him. He and I can do this together!
Love to all, and know that we are really releaved that the diagnosis is with hope and a plan!

P.S. Megan, the next time you are running around this way, call me....would love to see Hayden. And Morgan, so proud of you!

Doctor appt
Colby has a dr a ppt today at 8:30am for blood work and another with a cardiologist at 2:30pm. He was at 155/88 when he went to 2 a days yesterday.... I spoke with our dr here in Celina and she said his highest should be at 140/80. We'll see what comes of the appointments today. Hopefully meds and a better diet.
Chelsey and 8 friends showed up last night...I was not the award winning Mom, when I said they all had to leave. Oh well...she'll live. She's keeping Colton and Dylan today, so Ashley can be with Sunny for surgery. Hope that all goes well too. I believe they are replacing her feeding tube.
Off to get dressed for another day at the office.

Our Saturday
Up and out with Chelsey and Colby, our plan was to hit CVS, Academy, Old Navy and eat lunch. Mission accomplished! The kids got a little tired of the time it took for me to get my damn boot on and off, but other than that we made it just fine. Academy was pretty busy...lots of people milling around the football stuff. Just makes me more ready for Friday Night Lights to start again.
Our stop at CVS was for a blood pressure monitor. Colby was 148/84. Later it was 140/81. Coach is going to check him in the morning and I am going to get him into a doctor as well.
Bingo last night was not eventful...as in no fall but no win either. A guy won 2 games on a row for $750.00. Then a lady across from us won 2 games as well. Sharon and I refrained from escorting them out tyler's Mom went with me. We had a great time laughing and talking. Oh, and not winning.
Sitting on the patio at this moment, listening to the birds sing. I think I heard one say that it was going to be another HOT Sunday!
Off to clean, so everything is in it's place for our showing sometime today.

The smell of pigskin...
Just got back from ordering my Senior Mom football jersey. I have to pause after I typed that. 2 a days start Monday. Got a few Celina shirts too, mostly for Chelsey. What will I be buying next year at this time? College books I suppose. (sigh). Mixed emotions at we start the gear up to their senior year. Soooooo ready to see what their next chapter is, but also can not believe that it's all going to be over in 10 months. 10 months from tomorrow, now that I think about it.
Colby went for his physical Thursday and his blood pressure was high. Back yesterday, still too high. They would not clear him, so, we will be visiting the doctor again Monday, and possibly a cardiologist. He is so down....he came home last night and said "Mom, this sucks, it's my Senior year.". I said I know son, we'll figure it out, so don't worry. Life is not without challenges at the FFF.
Chelsey is going to Billy Bob's tonight for a concert. She's NOT driving, another Mom is. She's so excited!
Danny and I made it thru one week of him working nights. I have already seen him more this morning, that I have all week. It's an adjustment, but we'll make it.
House showing tomorrow, to the wife that wants a pool and lake. Husband came Wednesday, and liked It. Again, hope she does too!
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. I think I will go sit in my recliner and watch the History Channel with Danny. Have missed that this week! Ohhhh, and YES, I did get to use the remote control all week. We may wrestle over it today!
Love!
