Update of our week....and a few notes to others.

First of all...Happy Birthday Karen. Hope Its a great day

Megan....love the home tour. Very pretty. Kelly.....I think you should just buy a frame and put it over little ones art work on the wall. Let him sign and date it! Marla....hope your first week was good. Carla and Paul....I think puppy and kitty look cold! Jeff....looks like you has a great time with the ice sword....Darth Jeffer!

Now....to the FFF. Colby is grounded...skipped school Monday. Said "he just didn't want to go". He's pretty clear now on it not being optional. He also understands that the school has a fancy auto call system to let parents know and that it calls every number of record. He was home Thursday night and saw CISD on the caller ID and was like WHAT??? Recording said "Chelsey Fenter missed the following classes today, first and second.". Danny and I get home at the same time and he can't WAIT to share the call with us....funny thing is I knew she missed. He was so disappointed...

Speaking of Chelsey, she's had a dull week. Went shopping for an outfit Thursday night in Allen. That's about it. She doesn't like to drive where she is not familuar, so a friend drove. Least we do not have to worry about her getting lost!

Danny finally got past the 12 hour shifts of ice and snow. He's off Monday for MLK and then Wednesday for some other holiday. He'll get the pleasure of meeting the Judge with Colby. Remember, I might be recognized....NOT going!

As for me....busy work week. First full 5 days in a month. My funny this week? Chelsey had deferred adjudication for her ticket....90 days clean, drivers Ed and it gets dropped. 1/4 was 90 days....she completed drivers Ed and didn't get a ticket. All we had to do was get the cert and a signed affidavit to the court. So......all week the info went back and forth to Lewisville with me. I remember it Thuraday night and actually took it out to read the next step. On the bottom, in fine print, MUST be received within 10 days after the 90th day. Let's calculate together....January 4th plus 10 was YESTERDAY......OMGosh, almost missed it. So, I stop in Frisco on way to work, with all the info, proudly present It to the clerk....it was signed by Chelsey, notarized, boxes checked, UMMM, but the problem is I checked BOTH boxes...not just one. She hands it back to me....I see stripes for both Chelsey and I in our future. So.....new form, drive to work, fax it to the school, text Chelsey to go to office to sign, check ONE box, have Mrs Massey notarize and bring it home. I'll make another run Monday. Chelsey text and said "is anything going to happen to me Mom?". I wanted to say....we'll be running off to Mexico tonight, but instead I told her we will have another day before jail is in our future. So.........I am NOT going to Court with Colby Wednesday, or they will whisper and point that I am the one with out of control 16 year old twins and it's no wonder, look at how much of a mess SHE is!

Next...came home to empty house last night after work...except Lily. She's asleep in her chair. Runs to greet me and I see mud all over her, the chair, the wood floors, the kitchen tile....she spent the day outside. So.....I toss her in the tub, which she HATES and get her al, squeaky clean again. Pick up mid clods, wipe down furniture and clean up floors. Then in play Words with Friends (name is "PK I am") until the kids get home. Both made curfew!

After all this....what will I do today? Going shopping...a little retail therapy is just what I need! Glad The FFF could entertain you once again. I still can't believe all this crap really happens around here....same for the stolen lap top with all the super bowl security info. Saw it on the news last night, I do not believe the story, even if it is Steve and Heather reporting it!

Minus 20

A friend of a friend posted on facebook that it was -20 in MN. That makes me shiver to even type it. Went In at 10 today, after I took Chelsey to school. Blasted out at 5pm, to make it home before dark. Drug all the left overs out of the frig and dinner was served. Duke enjoyed the rest. I'm ready for spring......do not like the cold weather at all. Stay warm and hope everyone has a good Tuesday. I just hope we do not have a re-freeze! Danny made it thru day 2 of snow and ice. Woohoo!

A button nose and two eyes made out of coal...

No snowman here, but there is plenty to make one. I am getting cabin fever! Christmas tree is finally down and back to the attic. I text Danny and said "trees down, you can come on home now.". Laundry done. Breakfast, lunch and snack out of the way. Lily goes outside and then turns to me as if to say WHAT is this? She does not like it. Colby just returned from pulling our neighbor out of the snow. Words with friends, facebook and football are just not keeping me entertained.

Dallas just left...not sure what that means these days. Back to the kitchen, to see what else I can cook. It WILL NOT be the deer chili meat Danny laid out. Gags me to smell it coking!

All I can say is walk over to Pecan Gap and see if our blog refreshes....I've been posting. LOL.

Danny had to be at work this morning at 6am.....he gets off at 6pm.

To snow or not to snow....

I do not think the weather people know what to predict for tomorrow. One thing is for sure, IF txDot weather shows snow and ice, Danny will go to work at noon on Sunday...we just wait for the phone to ring this afternoon. Such a switch, normally I'd be packing a bag to get closer to the office, and spend the night. This time, he'll be out making the roads safe and I'll be home. Can't leave the kids....if the weather turns bad. I just hope they are all wrong and it's warm and sunny tomorrow.

Sports Banquet tonight. Got Colby a new black shirt today, so he'll look slick. Chelsey exempt from benchmark testing all week. It's a good thing because She felt like crap Wednesady...ran to doctor and waa told just head cold. Thursday night she was up throwing up and missed school yesterday.

We've all just had a nap, they are still asleep, and now I am trying to decide if I want to do a movie and dinner or drive up to Windom and try the great seafood buffet there....right now my Snuggie and recliner are pretty darn good.

At some point I need to take down the Christmas Tree. Yep, it's still up. Not bothering me a bit. Might just put hearts on it and keep it up thru Valentines...

Who cooked?

Chelsey cooked dinner for us tonight.....and was sitting on the couch when I got home PISSED because Danny and I were both late.... The important thing is that we made it and ate it. Delicious...Danny and I both ran in, changed clothes, and made a plate. YUM. Shake and bake chicken, parmesan pasta and cheese bread... Again YUM and so proud of Chelsey. Minimal instructions and she pulled it off.

Tomorrow night? Green chili chicken enchiladas...already put it all together tonight so all she and Colby have to do is bake for 30 minutes tomorrow afternoon.

Back to work today, after a 3 day weekend. Ugh... And I have poison ivy on my elbows...Duke got in my chair in the garage and it transferred from there. Just means I am on steroids and am WIRED for SOUND and not able to sleep very well....least I am not itching!

Called the court for Colby's illegal dumping today, never got a call back.....must have been a busy weekend!

P.S. If gas goes to $5 a gallon....I'll be taking donations! Geez, sure could stand to win the lottery....Colby would blow thru it, I'm sure.

Deputy Howe

Well....Deputy Howe was a very nice guy....left Colby with a citation and big eyes... We (Danny and Colby) shall go before the judge to see what is next...I went with Chelsey for her ticket, and it's the same judge. Not good....I will not attend, maybe he will not recognize the name!

Quiet New Years....Danny and I went and had great Mexican food, home last night by 8:30 watching tv. I missed the ball falling in NY because I was channel surfing....while Danny was snoring. Such a motley crew we are... Slept till 9 this morning. Cooked the traditional New Years lunch and then had a nap.

TCU won...now watching UConn and OU. I've been watching football for 6 months now....geez.

Off to wash dishes and nurse the poison ivy on my elbows. Happy New Year to all!
