24 hours and...

24 hours with cartilage pierced was ENOUGH for me....took that sucker OUT about an hour ago....damn, felt like my ear was in a vice grip. Danny is calling me a not so nice name, but I do NOT care...that sucker was killing me!

Now.....Cowboys are really testing my fan patience. About to join the "Wade and Jason must go" bandwagon... Nice relaxing Sunday, ran to WalMart with Chelsey. Came back and cooked Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas, rice, beans...turned out pretty good. First time I've ever made it.

Wish it was still Saturday....could use another day off, to sleep, and make up for the hours I missed last night, with my ear in a vice grip!

Marla....Grace and the "patty cake" sure made me smile! Just precious. Ohhhh....remember the twin boys that were born at 25-26 weeks? They are 11 weeks old, over 5 pounds and there is talk of them going home.... Chelsey and I may go see them once hey get settled in. 25 and 29 days seemed like a lifetime when the kids were in the hospital...11 weeks had to be tough! Megan, Hayden is so dang cute. Going to have to visit again sometime soon.... Morgan, love u bunches! Ashley, you too!

Have a great week all.....it seems that I am the only one blog rambling this week, come on gang, need some updates!

Ohhhhhh, almost forgot...

Got my left ear pierced today....up at the top.........I think the mid life crisis has officially set in!

History...finally!

How about those Rangers...woohoo. Too bad the decision will be made, for the World Series, in New York. Appears Baseball will be a lot more fun than the Cowboys are at the moment.

Chelsey and I birthday shopped for Dallas today. Done, and two weeks early...least she will not wear me down asking WHEN we will go. She and I had a great time. No fights at all. Nice to spend time with her, and actually be speaking!

Colby would NOT go with us. He just hates to shop.... Gets it from his Daddy I guess.

Now watching Philly and San Francisco...SF pitcher needs a hair cut.

Ashley walked at the Susan G Kolmen Race for the cure this morning. Proud of you girly....next year Chelsey and I will go, we promise! Listening to you and your Daddy talk on the phone now (least I can hear his side). Sounds like Colton's team could really stand a win!

Off to find something to snack on...lunch has worn off.

Sports week...

Okay, I think I am on sports over load! Baseball and football all week it seems. Can't believe the Rangers blew a 5-0 lead. As everyone on Facebook said...there's always tomorrow.

So.....tonight Chelsey mentions the mirror Colby knocked off Wednesday....I say WHAT????? Yep, from a big Ford truck it appears. Gotta find the man before he finds our insurance company....appears everyone in our house knew about it except ME. Gonna whip someone (or all of them) tail!

Colby and crew won last night. Dallas and crew won tonight 56-6. 3 sacks for Dallas and 9 tackles....off next Friday, and then the final home game before we go I to the playoffs....I bet I shed a tear that night...Dallas turns 18 and it's his last home game.

Dad, you sounded great when I called with my score update tonight, sooooo glad your feeling better. Love to everyone, Pam

P.S. Anyone wanting to take Colby in, until he gets past this wild driving stage, let me know, I'll start packing him up. Ohhhh, and Chelsey mAde a 100 on her Physics test today....and I should let you know, I still do not even know what it is!

Bowling!

Bowled with Jesus, Tyler, Colby, Jay, Dallas and Chelsey this afternoon. Good times, but I'm predicting a sore arm tomorrow. Beat Dallas once.... Tyler got on a roll and hit 214 in one game....several strikes in a row!

Tomorrow is the last of my 4 day weekend.....Chelsey is going to the fair with Dallas and his parents. Not sure what Colby and I will get into, but we'll find something....

PK

Made my day.....and hers...

Today....while running around the mall, I go upstairs to the candy factory store, to get Dallas' favorite, and a few things for C and C as a surprise....I walk in, and at the same time, a young lady walks in with a little girl, about 2-3 on her hip..... I hear her tell the lady that works there she has a $40 budget for candy, and it's for her daughters birthday party game prizes. I am milling around, getting candy by the pound, she's picking out matching colors of candy, etc. As I sorta watch, the employee gets this and that for her and I am thinking NO WAY is she getting out for $40! Because the candy is by the pound, so it's hard a tell just how much things will cost. A couple of times she asks the lady if she's close to $40, and the lady says....should be okay, should be okay.... After she picks it all out, and says, "maybe I should just get a bag from Target instead". Then she says, no I want this to be special for your sisters (she's saying it to the baby). I take note of the "s" at the end of sister, which makes my heart sing, as I think of twins girls, and a a birthday party..... She heads up to the scales/register, just as I am as well. I hear the employee say $62.03. The young lady says, I can't spend that much, we'll have to put some back. Then, She says Oooohhhhh, do you have a military discount? The employee says "no, sorry.". She stands for just a minute and says, okay, go ahead, it's going to be fun, so it 's worth it.

I can't stay silent another second.....I ask if her husband is military, she turns to me and says yes.... I ask "so, where's their Daddy at?". She looks at me with heavy tears in her eyes and says Iraq. I thought my heart would burst....she turned back to the register, digging cash and counting change from her purse....I put my candy on the scale with hers and said, "I've got it....". She said, that's very sweet, but it's okay, really. I said.....I insist, and as I paid for a mound of candy, both hers and mine, she cried big tears standing beside me, and was shaking as she said "thank you!!!!". I replied.......NO, thank you for what you give up....I hope the party is wonderful, hug your daughters from me, a stranger at the mall..... She hugged me and I walked out, with my candy, and a smile.

Sometimes it just feels right, to make someone's day.....thanks to the stranger at the mall for making my day!
