My girls...

Friday night I met Danny, Ashley and the boys at Hooters in McKinney for dinner. Ashley got her hair cut....about 4 inches off the back and I love it. She also went a little more brown than blonde. Looked very fresh and beautiful. I think Dylan and Colton were a bit tired...they didn't say much. Got up yesterday morning preparing to take all 3 dogs to the vet for shots, baths and flea stuff. While they were gone, I sprayed the entire house inside and out. Chelsey and I ran to McKinney and then blasted back home to pick Tank, Lily and Duke up by noon. We dropped them off at the house then went to Frisco and piddled at the mall. We stopped for dinner on the way home. I mentioned that Danny and I are taking off a week in July and that we may go somewhere...like a vacation. Chelsey said "do Colby and I get go go?". Hum....hadn't planned on it. Guess we will see how this one turns out. We have not had a kidless vacation in about 6-7 years...and that was for a company trip. Colby and Danny spent the day in Greenville trimming trees and moving brush for Susan. Sounds like they got her place all cleaned up. Still hard to believe Donny is gone. About to be 5 months on the 2nd of May. Today, as I sit here, when I should be cleaning, I think I will talk Danny into a Jeep road trip....I have the itch to ride up to Texoma and look around. Prom 2012 Day was a good one.....I think if we had to do one more next year, Chelsey and I could call ourselves pros at it! Colby too....minus the cuff links! Chelsey and I did breakfast, hair, makeup, home to grab dress, race to friends grandmothers house for photo op and then she and her friends were whisked away by limo....beautiful girls! Colby had Saturday school until 4pm, ran to Frisco for Hair cut, back home at 6ish, showered, flung on his tux, allowed me to photo and go photo he and his friends. Handsome guys! Danny and I went to dinner and he has been snoring since 9pm. I shall sit in my recliner until both C's have confirmed they are back to Celina. As I waited for Our favorite Dior lady to finish Chelsey's make up at Nordstroms...I decided to roam around for a bit. I got to thinking....chances are, the next time I watch C or C get all dressed up, as they did tonight, could be a wedding! I stopped roaming around and went back over to my beautiful baby gir l, and snapped myself out of that thought! Rains County Chili

Yesterday we had a huge luncheon at the office. About 1500 people were fed, music played, cupcakes were served. Prior to the shindig, we received a menu of all the 8 options of food trucks that were to he there. On one, called Potato Potadho, Rains County Chili was a topping option for the baked potatoes....hummmm. I set out for that truck to find out why their Chili was named after the tiny little county I grew up in. After a 45 minute wait, I finally get up to the truck to order. 3 guys are working in the truck and I ask "who's from Rains County?". The guy standing right beside me says "i am". I tell him my last name is Fenter....he immediately says "Do you know Danny Fenter?". Yep...I do. Turns out the guy is Gordon "Chick" Henderson, a friend of Danny's. Small world..... My staff is already amazed at just how many people I know. Being in this business for so long, it's hard not too.... When I knew the tat or truck guy, they were saying NO WAY. LOL.

Let the count down begin...

Tomorrow is the Senior Mother Daughter Tea that Chelsey and I will attend. Next Satuday is Prom. We made the make up appoi tment today and will call for the hair appointment Colby jas his tux on the way The next week they start Senior rehersals and learning the five songs they will sing at Graduation. Some where in there is Senior Awards, Six Flags Day, Bacularette and lots more fun...I am sure.

Triplets!

While Chelsey and Colby were in the hospital...18 years ago, there were also Triplet Girls in the Baylor NICU. All blonde....precious little girls. They went home before the kids and I have wondered over the years how they are,where they are, etc... I'd bet their parents are counting down the days till Graduation, times THREE. Buying prom Dresses, times THREE. Paying for "failure to come to a complete stop" tickets. Three vehicles. Three cap and gowns. Three boxes of graduation invitations. Three colleges to worry about. Now.....after reading all that three times, TWO times all the above doesn't seem too bad. The good lord knew that our house would be full of joy and challenges with just two. Thank goodness there wasn't three....

A quiet weekend.

We had a very quiet Easter Weekend. No eggs colored, no eggs hidden, just more rain... Can't believe I didn't color a single egg for Easter. That's a first in many many many years. Cooked yesterday, ham, corn, pasta and potatoes. Nothing fancy. Cleaned house for 4 hours and had everything sparkling. Laundry done as well so, when I went to bed last night, not a thing was out of place. Luckily no one wrecked that today. Chelsey and Colby were home, so there was every possibility! Colby ordered his prom tux today. Chelsey still says she is borrowing a dress. My how things change with Prom #3 Remember Promzilla? Oh....and no limo, she'll be going in Randy Travis' tour bus. Yes, THE Randy Travis.

Watching the news...more rain coming. Considering my car looks like a golf ball from last weeks hail storm, I guess it doesn't matter if it gets hit again...as long as no glass gets broken

Off to watch tv. Megan....I do not have the recipe, but Mom does. Get the chocolate one from her too, it's my favorite and I LOVE them straight out of the oven....piping hot. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

And for those keeping record.....tomorrow is 2 months since I had my last cigarette. ;-)
