First day of school was a success! Chelsey goes in at 7:20am and gets out at 12:30. Colby goes in at 10:30 and gets out at 2something. Chelsey said she was going to find a job...so she wouldn't be bored. LOL. I may never get a morning of Colby!
Only complaint was from Chelsey (of course....). She has one class with all freshman....it was the only elective that would still get her out by lunch. I told her to just be the adult and help all the little ones along this year!
Off to work. Have a great day all.

Weekend recap
First of all let me say WHAT was I thinking when Chelsey and I headed out shopping Saturday? We got to the Frisco Mall early...not crowded, close parking space, not the zoo I expected...and then....Colby calls us from Allen Outlet Mall to come pay for the things he had found. So....we fight our way into the parking lot, find a spot, go into Casual XL Male, sack up and pay for his items and walk to a few more stores. Then we head to the car, which has 32 miles until empty and it takes almost an hour to get out of the parking lot. Windows down to conserve gas, Chelsey HOT, me HOT, cars everywhere trying to get out just like we were. And Colby right behind us in his truck...GOOD GRIEF what a mess....never again. Never ever ever again will I go there. They could be giving away free stuff and I'll pass.
Then...Cheksey and I head BACK to Frisco, to Champs, where we buy Colby's college logo t-shirts all the time. Little more crowded this time. We get in and out of there fairly quickly and then go to The Foundry, Big and Tall Shop. We walk in and a guy says "how about a cold soda or beer?". I chuckle and keep walking....funny thing is he was serious...they had beer on tap. Tempting as it was, I passed. Chelsey had a field day in this store. She found a size 70 belt....she held the buckle above her head and stood on the end with holes. I was ready to run away from her. Then she buckled it and tried to holah hoop...then she found a size 70 pair of shorts and could wrap them all the way around her own waist. Then she found a t-shirt that said "everyone loved my Weinie" and it had a picture of a wiener dog on it. She was having WAY too much fun....trying on giant shoes too. I should have just had a beer and let her play...we laughed so hard!
Today we go do mani pedi's in Frisco.....a lady walks in talking about this horrible 5-6 year old gettingbhis hair cut next door. She said he jumped out of the chair screaming you ruined my hair and I am NOT going to school like this....the lady said he ran and slammed his body into the front door. Well....I needed a trim, so over I go. He was easy to spot. Red face. Obviously pissed. Arms crossed and one of the ladies was still cutting his hair. He was a MESS. His mom was very calm. His dad too. Even his sister seemed unfazed. I'd have busted his ars....little shit was really making a scene. The same lady cut my hair afterward. She must have been on meds, because she seemed unfazed as well.
Ohhhhhh....almost forgot Saturday, while we were in Forever 21 we saw a guy in a short shirt (as in belly hanging out) and ladies cheetah print tights. Chelsey said MOM you can see his......I bolted at that point. We didn't need anything from that store anyway.
Tomorrow the kids start their Last first day of High School...can hardly believe it is here already. Chelsey has 7:20am dual credit class and Colby goes in at 9 something.....maybe he will not be tardy as much this way. Stay tuned, this is going to be an adventure getting TWO to May 31st Graduation. On the bright side, tomorrow night will ne the last time I have to fill out "packets" for them to return back to the school. Seems like they get thicker every year....
I leave for Vegas Tuesday morning at 7:20am and land back at DFW at 11:15pm that night. Quick trip for a meeting...Should be fun with my giant black boot....security here I come!
Love to all,
PK

Sometimes you just have to make them smile...
Busted out "creative PK" yesterday.... Staff is really feeling the stress right now, soooooo, what's a boss to do? Air Hockey of course. PK Style..... This is how is all went down.
Two conference room tables placed side by side. Poster board trim. Duck tape. Metal loaf pans. Canned air. Colored paper.
Push two tables together, tape border trim all the way around the edges, so they stand up above the table all around.
Cut loaf pans in half. Tape to each corner like goals.
Instructions were to take the colored paper, 4 different colors, one for each team. They had to decide to make small paper wab balls, Large ones, tape them, not tape them ect.
Pick a team goal tender
The other two on each team were offense.
Insert 12 cans of canned air, like you'd use to blow out your computer key board.
Rules....can't touch the paper balls. Can't shoot own goal. If ball falls on floor, it is dead. Each paper ball that is shot into a goal is one point. They each received 4 sheets of paper, it was up to them on the size of the balls. And also the number of balls made.
They only received one extra can of air.
The winning team gets taken out to a fun lunch one day next week by me.
Now.....things I didn't plan on. 1). Those cans get freezing cold when constantly is use. 2). That we might all feel high as a kite from the odor. 3). That I would almost pee my pants watching them play!
It was a blast....I highly recommend, if you have a group that could use a smile.
Any questions...ask, you'll not regret trying this with a group!

Metal bleachers!
It may still be 100+ degrees...but it's finally football time again! Tonight is BBQ, orange and football...finally! Can hardly wait. Leaving work early, so I do not miss one minute of it.
Chelsey text me Tuesday....take off work early, let's go shopping. My reply....silly girl! Yesterday she text....hey Mom, run your credit card to Frisco please. My response....silly girl. Sometimes I feel like I am a terrible Mom, because I work.
Colby has yet another flat. What in the world does that kid hit? He's gotten good at changing tires.
Danny is STILL working nights....he text me last night asking which was am and which was pm. I asked if he was playing trivia or something. Turns out the ntta had their sign notification incorrect, as to when the road would be shut down.
School starts Monday. Summer has drug by in some easy and in others it has flown. I have scratched the Senior Blog idea. It will be easier to just keep one, then I will figure oit how to extract the info for the kids. Most stories are about them anyway!
Off to get dressed, so I can head to Lewisville...have a great day all!

Jack or Diesel?
We have a new puppy....yes, you read it right. Colby wanted him and Danny, after saying no and making him return it the first night, said yes two days later. Colby wore him down. We've had him a week and the kids named him Diesel, but I do not like. I want him to be Jack or Trey. Jack, just because and Trey, because he puts us at 3 dogs now. At first I said Noooooooooo, but after a week, he's so stinking cute, I am already in love. Last night Colby tucked him into the laundry room to sleep and 30 minutes later I snuck him out of his prison and he slept with me. Lily is furious.....she stays between me and Jack/Trey.
I thought it might be interesting to write about the dogs we have had over the years......first was Hansel. We acquired him when Ashley came to live with us. He was a great dog. Ashley loved him so. When the kids were born, we brought a blanket home for him to get used to the scent. We brought Colby home, let Hansel sniff him and for the next two nights, Hansel slept on the rug in front of his bed. When his heart monitor went off Hansel would run to our room, back and forth until we got there to check Colby. It was as if Hansel understood something was amiss. Two days after we introduced Colby, Chelsey came home. Same routine....sniff and then we put her in her bed. Hansel ran and got under Ashley's bed. To insert his thought "oh crap, there is another one of them now!". He continued to sleep on Colby's rug for months, getting up when we woke to feed them. After a couple of months, he slept under Ashley's bed from there on out. Guess the new wore off. When C and C were about 3, we noticed he had a gash on his back one day. Danny checks it and sees a big cut. Chelsey falls to pieces and said "I not hurt him, I not hurt him!". Come to find out she had tried to cut his hair with hedge clippers.... He healed up, and she never did it again. They dressed him in towels, ate his dog food and loved him so much. We moved to Celina and had him for several years. One day Danny and I couldn't find him....we looked everywhere, to no avail. A couple of days later we found him under our pool deck. I think it was just old age that got him. He was a special par of the kids lives including Ashley.
Next came the two puppies that We (C, C and I) bought at Trades Day while Danny was out of town. Fiesty and Charlie were their names...we brought them home the first day, and the garage door wouldn't go up when we got home. No way to get into the house. Sooooooo I called Danny and he didn't answer. I laid my cell down, and with hammer in hand was just about to bust the kitchen window out, when my cell phone rang. Chelsey popped it open, and instead of saying "Mom is breaking a window" she said "Dad, we got two puppies". I think I would have gotten yelled at less if she'd told him about the window. A couple of months pass and Danny has settled into having 2 dogs. One day they get out of the fence while we are gone and Charlie gets hit on the highway.....the kids were sad, but Fiesty becomes their lonely baby then.....a couple of weeks later, the same tragedy strikes again. Colby and Chelsey wanted to see the blood on the highway, so Danny drives them up there and they were fine.
Next we get Red, and the way we got Red was very strange....we are all in the pool one day, at the old house, and all of a sudden, a big red dog comes running into the back yard and dives into the pool with us. To say we were startled is an understatement. He has a collar, so I call the number on it. A lady out of state has no idea what I am talking about....so Danny and I look at each other like "now what?". A few minutes later the lady calls back....mystery solved, she sold a puppy to someone in Texas, and they took one of her colalarsthat must have had an old tag on it. She only knew their first name, so we set on a mission with neighbors and finally get a guys cell number. I leave a message with our name, address, phone number....an hour or so later a truck comes flhing down the driveway and a man jumps out and rinse to the dog In tears....he thought he'd lost R.J. forever. No sir.....he found our pool, so we helped find you. He left and promised a puppy to the kids.....several months later, he returns with what would become Red at our house. Red scared me more than once. He'd wrap his feet around mine when I was walking and growl. Finally I said ENOUGH, so Danny took him for a ride, and a coup,e of years later, we were ridning around looking at property and saw Red, happily with a collar and two other dogs at a house near his drop off spot. Happy ending here.
Next we get another dog from a friend, and he was wild to say the least. Danny and Colby head out for the same ride as before, Danny stops and says "get out Colby". Colby falls to pieces and Danny finally realizes he thought he was being left with the dog. They got it all straight and Colby was allowed to return home.
Next, we move to our new house.....two dogs are what I WANT, so we get two shitzus. Dawson and Dakota were so dang cute. Then I learned we have wolves.....Dakota first in April and then Dawson in October. We decide to take a break from dogs, because my heart was broken!
Danny then finds a Lab that he must have....Duke would become part of our family. He was born on my birthday, and we got him the night we played Robinson in football, so his name became Robinson Duke Weston, named by Danny. He has been wonderful.....he visits the neighbor, has been shot with a bb gun (bb still in his hip), takes a dip in our pool everyday and can open our doors to the house, if we do not keep them locked. He and Lily go on adventures all day and return at night.
We then get Lily (my schnauzer) and Dexter, a boxer, to be a pal for Duke. Dexter manages to get ran over by our neighbor...he was asleep under his car, and didn't get out fast enough.
Between Dawson/Dakota, was Patrick. He was a long haired weenier dog and I loved him so much. I came home one a friday and he was in the house and I played with him for a few minutes, got dressed and headed to a football game. Danny was almost home, so I left Patrick out, and Danny was foxing to let him in. We both forgot him and I got home late that night to find Duke with blood on him and no Patrick. I searched the whole house...no sign. I called Danny and he thought I'd left him in. So.....in the dark,I go searching. Duke is barking and running to the back of our property. I get in the car, drive up the hill and shine my lights....nothing. Duke continued to act crazy, but I can't find Patrick. I finally yell, cry and go to bed. The next morning I get up to look again. I find him....but the wolves had found him first. Danny comes out to find me sobbing. I loved him so much. Getting our wires crossed had caused him to be gone. I blamed myself.
In between we've had 3 cats.....our most recent, Tiger, has not been around in a week. I hope he returns....he did last time, after about 8 days. I am holding out hope.
Sooooo....now we have Lily, which we have had for 2 years and Duke for almost 4 years. It is only fitting that the new puppy be named Trey. Or Jack.....Diesel just doesn't work for me.
Now, I am off to let them all potty....so no one is outside after dark, Including me!
Happy Minday all,
Pam
P.S. Not checking for typo's. This post is too long and I need to jump on the washing while the machine is empty.

Friday Night Lights
Celina Football started last night. Colby was on the sidelines....and I was working late. I think I am going to just have to sneak out each week so that I do not miss anything. Getting home at almost 9pm is not going to cut it on Fridays...
Sitting outside watching it rain at the moment. I typically gripe...not this time. It is a wonderful sight!
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad. Love you bunches!
