Thank goodness it is Saturday! This week has been a blast (sarcasm). The news has been very sad:

A mom gets away with murder....how in the he'll does this happen? Forget reasonable doubt. She didn't report her missing for 30 days. I just don't get it. I also predict that she will have to move to a foreign country to ever have any sort of life again. Someone will shoot her down here.

Also watched the video of the guy who fell at the Ranger game. Right in front of his 6 year old. My heart breaks over this one. I've had to watch Ashley go thru 21 years without her Mom as she once knew her. Just shows things can change in a flash.

This morning I read that cousin Sandy's house burned early Tuesday morning. Again, in a flash, things change.

On a high note, Dave Campbell's Football book is out. Yep, Celina picked #1 in district again. Ready for the Friday Night Lights again, we went out way to early last year. He has us 8th in the state....

Carla, looks like you had a great vacation...love the off the shoulder green dress, beautiful! Megan, Hayden is so dang cute! Marla, those girls are precious. Mom and Dad, hope all is well with you, didn't get home last night in time to call and check on you.

Bingo!

Or NOT Bingo.... Just got home from Plano Bingo with my friend Sharon. Had a great time. Dang the place was hot, full of people and lots of fun. But never got to yell BINGO... Sharon went last night and won $450.00. I must be bad luck.

Today....Starbucks, Home depot, Lowes, Best Buy, Crows for lunch and back home. And believe it or not, Danny was with me! Got him a new lap top for his birthday, which is Wednesday. He seems to like it. It is ashamed that I enjoy Home Depot and Lowe's as much as he does. Finally found (after living here almost 5 years) some really good granite counter top cleaner/polish. Going to work on all of them tomorrow. The counter tops in the kitchen are sparkling. Bathrooms are next!

Chelsey and Colby stayed home today. When I left for Bingo, Danny and Chelsey had just gotten out of the pool. Toooooo dang hot for me. I sat in the shade, then washed the concrete around the pool.

Tomorrow we are staying home. Cook a little. Maybe fish a little and shine the granite....sounds like a perfect 4th to me!

Ice cream run...

Braums just makes for a perfect ending to a busy week. Colby and I ran after ice cream, picked Tyler up on the way home and now I am settled into bed and so sleepy I can barely hold my head up.

Weekend plans? Not sure yet.....Bingo with a friend tomorrow night, possibly. Fireworks somewhere.....but not at home. Too dry.

We shall see what we get into at the FFF over the long, much needed, weekend.

A rough three days....

21 years ago This past Tuesday, Sunny's wreck happened

18 years ago yesterday, I miscarried with baby #1.

Today....Colton passes out from the heat and takes am ambulance ride. All is okay but it was a scary few hours. So glad he is okay and that they glued his forehead back together, which was cuts and scraped during his fall to the concrete.

Please let tomorrow be dull, and memory free....

Yes...another month end

June is only a few hours from ending THANK GOODGESS! Got home last night at a little before 10pm. Long damn day! Carla, thanks for talking to me for half that ride. Made it go a little faster.

A funny Mortgage story....yesterday of Underwriting Manager and UW Support person were looking at a file and laughing. This doesn't happen often, because most of the time we are trying to figure how the heck to make a deal work. That is the reason I have wrinkles in my forehead by the way. Well, I had to stop and see what was causing the laugh.....property in CA with lots of "stuff" in the garage. Black lights, potting soil, planter pots, anodynes, you guessed it MARIJUANA growing all over the place. The next page was of a card being held by the owner proving they were growing it for medicinal reasons. I laughed so hard!!!! Couldn't believe it!

I should tell you my morning began finding a mirror in one of our cedar trees.....yep, Colby was going too fast down the driveway and slid into the tree. Today he's going to get an estimate to fix his bashed truck. Repeat after me.....I will live thru two teenagers...I will live thru teenagers.....

The heat is tough on Danny right now...but he's making it.

Chelsey is "bored" most of the time, so today I have already left her a note to wash the dishes in the sink.

Off to get dressed. Time to blow thru the day!

SMU...

Today is a sad day....let me back up and explain that statement first. Every year that we have been in Celina, I have selected a Senior football player, to watch and cheer for, as if he were my very own. There have been many over the years, some I keep up with, others I do not. This year it was Keller Adams, middle linebacker, and one heck of a football player I actually communicated with him on Facebook and finally got to meet him weekend before last. Such a great all around guy. Today he left for SMU. I can only imagine how his mom and dad felt as he left at noon. He posted on FB "goodbye Celina, it's been real. Hello SMU!". Made me sad to see the post....but, now I have another team to keep up with as I am certain we will hear his name again. Best of luck Keller!

Off to watch The Bachelorette.....she just needs to get over Bentley!

A snake!!!

Met Chelsey and Colby for dinner last night, since I hadn't seen them in days... Afterwards I ran to the grocery store for items to make a big pan of potatoes, for work today. On my way home Chelsey calls and says MOM, guess what? My heart skips a beat because of the tone of her voice....we just killed a giant snake at the house. She tells me all about it and we hang up. Then Colby calls MOM, we just killed a giant snake in front of the house. I ask HOW did you kill it? Well...with the shot gun of course. I ask if Danny knows. YES Mom, he knows... I arrive home to a Trembling Chelsey and Colby has gone after gas. She wants me to see it, so we walk behind the garage and it's not there. She calls Colby...."ten or so foot from the storage building" so we get on the Kubota and can't find it. We are both a little nervous at this point. She decides he means the building, not the garage, so we head up the hill to snake hunt. We do not see it. Chelsey is beyond having a fit and I must admit....if it has no head, where the HECK is it? While we are parked by a bunch of trees, a bug flies into the Kubota and hits her, she about jumps on top of me! We finally find the snake and I run over it. It MOVES and she is in panic mode by now so we drive back down the hill and go into the house....giant black snake, made a sissy out of us both!

Glad it's Friday.....Danny had to be at work at midnight, road construction on 75, and he is not home yet....and he has to work today. He'll be exhausted! Hope he doesn't have to work tomorrow, we have a wedding to attend, right Karen?
