A trip to Cliffeene and Steve's new lake home was how we spent the 4th of July. They have a nice mfg home in the VFW Subdivision of Lake Texoma. As soon as we got there, we got in the boat with Ashley and Tazz and headed to "The Islands" for an afternoon of sun and sand. Notice there are no photos, this is for two reasons, one, camera nor phone would have survived wading out into the water to get in the boat and most of the photos of the island would have been X Rated. Not sure I've ever seen that many boats in one area, nor that much skin, not even sure why some even bothered with the strap lines of a bathing suit. Even a few guys in Speedos. Had a blast... BUT, I think I'm too old for this sort of stuff, as I had to have two naps on Sunday to recover!

Short Trip to Lake Texoma
Danny, Colby, Chelsey, Shelby and I left on Tuesday and just returned home on Thursday.... Texoma is beautiful, but not very much to do with it is raining, so we packed up and day early and headed to home sweet home! We stayed at Flowing Wells Resort and Marina in a cabin at Sunset Village. You'll see in the photos, the reason it's called Sunset Village.

Mini 1983 Class Reunion

PHOTOS HAVE ARRIVED!!! Thanks Paula..First, let me say that I am awaiting photos from several to post on our blog, but I wanted to go ahead update on those who attended our Mini Class of '83 Reunion on Saturday, June 27th, at the Fenter Funny Farm. Samantha Lara Schwartz traveled the furthest to join the gang, she's in Tennessee now. Others attending were Patty Strebeck Harford, Cherry Garner Alexander, Tara Barnes Whittington, Sandy Hartog Shelton, Reene Harris Shedd, Paula Pogue Malone, Cindy Sellers (who was fantastic for picking Sam up from the airport and enjoying our trip down memory lane!)
We laughed, ate, drank a little, laughed some more and talked about old times, our current lives, our kids, grandkids, pets, hubby's, ex-hubbys, jobs, wrinkles... The list goes on and on.
Once I receive the group photos we took, I'll add to the post. There was definately lots of discussion about doing it again, as all had a great time!

Rebel!!!
We have a new addition to the Fenter Funny Farm... His name is Rebel. You'll notice he looks a bit angry.... It could be because he arrived at our house on Monday to three dogs, who tower over him, and want to play. They are gentle, but he was a bit shy. By Tuesday, he had it all figured out and was fine. THEN Wednesday comes along, and as I'm leaving home to go to work, he gets under my car. YES, I ran over him, but ONLY one foot thank goodness. So, after just 48 hours at the Fenter Funny Farm, he's already made a run to the vet. No broken bones, just a bruised paw. Poor little guy! As of this morning, two days after I squished his foot, he just has a slight limp and is back to his fiesty self. More antics to follow, I'm sure.

Father's Day
Father's Day.... Saturday Danny and I left out for Emory to visit Mom and Dad. Mom was shopping when we got there, so I planted Daddy's tomato plants and we waited for Mom to get home. The four of us went for seafood buffet at Lake Fork.
Sunday we met Ashley, Taz, Colton and Asa at Bill Smith's Cafe in McKinney for breakfast. Dylan wasn't there, he was at his other Grandparents house. After eatting breakfast, we headed home for a day of nothing.... Cooked dinner later, the four of us actually all sat down a the table and ate together, which is rare these days. Oh, and Danny got tomato plants and an Earth Box just like the one we got my Daddy. I planted his two plants as well, only to look out later that day and see that Dex, the Boxer, had flipped the box over, taken out the plants and about 3/4 of the dirt. SOOOOOOOO, I re-planted, re-watered and he hasn't gotten into it again.
Hapy Father's Day!
