Great lunch and a BLUE one!

Attended a luncheon today, to network with several friends in the Mortgage business. Was very productive, and think I may have a couple of hot job leads from it!

Afterward....ran back to Celina, got Chelsey out of school a little early, and headed back into Dallas to Prom dress shop. Whatchmacallit...no dress. Terry Costa....tried several, and after VERY heated discussions in the dressing room, a sneak preview of "the dress" is below. Only needs slight alteration, shoes and earrings. WHEW.....thank goodness I have one boy and one girl. Two girls, and I'm not sure I would survive!
Not sure WHY the above is underlined, but considering my afternoon, I'm just going to leave it!

Another one?

Even Lily is exhausted! She made every step with me today!

I am EXHAUSTED....Worked out this morning after taking Colby to school. Came home and hit the pasture, dragging trees, with my Kubota, over to the new brush pile we have created. Yes, we burned one Monday, so why not have another? Let's just hope that my 2 showers keep the poison ivy away... The pile doesn't look very big, but trust me, it was A LOT of work, all day long! I didn't run the chain saw, but I did walk what seems like 5 miles, dragging limbs to the pile!

And the grades are in! (Tuesday delayed)

Report card day yesterday.....very pleased!

Colby:
Ag Home Main 93, Biology 82, Ag Structure 99, World History 84, English II 88, Theater Production 84, Algebra I 72, PE 100, All A's and B's except one...Algebra is just a butt kicker, but you can do it. So proud of you!!!

While the kids were at school, Danny and I were trimming trees..... And I spent almost all day, in 20-30 mph wind, putting dirt on the "hot spots" from our brush fire the day prior....

Garage cleaned out

Busy day! Worked out first thing....then outside we went. First cleaned up garage (the one connected to the house), then started on a wood pile that has been sitting for a long time. Good news is, we didn't burn up the tractor or the countryside. Fished a little afterwards. Not a single bite! Maybe tomorrow.... And we are cleaning up the OTHER garage tomorrow. That one will be a chore for sure!

Thanks to Megan for posting pictures of your Funfetti Cookies. Just made them an hour ago and 2 dozen is now down to SIX remaining... The are fabulous! (Recipe is on the side of a Funfetti Cake Mix...ice with Funfetti icing.) YUM!

The boys are growing up fast!

Colton and Dylan are growing up fast. Can't believe Dylan will be 9 in a couple of weeks and Colton 7 in June. Seems like only yesterday they were both little. Ashley was not happy that picture were taken AFTER they played outside. I think they both look just fine!

Catching up....

Spent Friday in Winnsboro with Carla. Her house is beautiful. Love the setting, in all the pine trees. REALLY different than around our house...forgot how different East Texas is from North Texas. I think the pine trees sent my allergies into orbit though. Arrived home Friday afternoon sneezing my head off!

Saturday (still sneezing) I decided that I wanted to have a facial. So....I set out for Hollywood Nails in Frisco, had microdermabrasion, facial and partial massage. Can't understand why I never did this before! It was wonderful... Went to dinner with Danny and then back home and crashed. Chelsey returned home from A&M (poultry judging) and went to a rave with Dallas, of course Tyler and Colby went too.

Sunday now, Ashley, Tazz, Colton and Dylan just left, they came over for a big Sunday breakfast. Think I'll go take a nap soon!
