Rebel!!!

We have a new addition to the Fenter Funny Farm... His name is Rebel. You'll notice he looks a bit angry.... It could be because he arrived at our house on Monday to three dogs, who tower over him, and want to play. They are gentle, but he was a bit shy. By Tuesday, he had it all figured out and was fine. THEN Wednesday comes along, and as I'm leaving home to go to work, he gets under my car. YES, I ran over him, but ONLY one foot thank goodness. So, after just 48 hours at the Fenter Funny Farm, he's already made a run to the vet. No broken bones, just a bruised paw. Poor little guy! As of this morning, two days after I squished his foot, he just has a slight limp and is back to his fiesty self. More antics to follow, I'm sure.

Father's Day

Father's Day.... Saturday Danny and I left out for Emory to visit Mom and Dad. Mom was shopping when we got there, so I planted Daddy's tomato plants and we waited for Mom to get home. The four of us went for seafood buffet at Lake Fork.

Sunday we met Ashley, Taz, Colton and Asa at Bill Smith's Cafe in McKinney for breakfast. Dylan wasn't there, he was at his other Grandparents house. After eatting breakfast, we headed home for a day of nothing.... Cooked dinner later, the four of us actually all sat down a the table and ate together, which is rare these days. Oh, and Danny got tomato plants and an Earth Box just like the one we got my Daddy. I planted his two plants as well, only to look out later that day and see that Dex, the Boxer, had flipped the box over, taken out the plants and about 3/4 of the dirt. SOOOOOOOO, I re-planted, re-watered and he hasn't gotten into it again.

Hapy Father's Day!

Choctaw...

Couldn't go to Oklahoma without stopping by Choctaw on the way home.... Didn't win, but didn't lose too much. Had a great time as always!

Fobb, Oklahoma...

As planned, Danny and I returned to
Fobb, Oklahoma on Saturday to see the
Catfish Races.... Just to give you an idea on
the set up....

Shoots are aboveRace track aboveHolding tanks with fish names

Now for the funny part.... It seems that someone decided to put tap water in the holding tanks and the race track, of 9 catfish, only 2 were still alive when we got there. Once was clearly not bothered by the water, the other went into the shute, swan about a foot, and turned back to the shute. Maybe next time we'll see more! Not many people can say they have been to a Catfish Race, so it was worth the beautiful trip to Oklahoma.....

Dang what a storm!!!!

DANG what a storm yesterday afternoon!
A few pictures of the aftermath are below.
Broken limb on a tree which is beside our driveway.

The house survived, but everything on the patio
was NOT in the same place it should have been. Please notice that my
Topsy Turvy tomato plants made it thru! Tons of stuff in the pool!
Curved part of the patio by our pool is where two lounge chairs normally sit.
The chairs are now out by the tallest tree you can see behind our garage!

Broke the boot planter that I have had for several years,
and the other thing you can see is a fire pit that is
very heavy. Good news is Danny, the kids and I are safe
and sound. Oh, and Lily, Duke and Dex too!

8 Wisdom Teeth!

Chelsey and Colby had the pleasure of having their wisdom teeth
extracted today. Colby's doing great, hungry as usual. Chelsey
is not doing so hot. She's having pain and just not feeling well.
Just talked to the Dentist again, and he said to put warm water
on a small tea bag and put it on the side that hurts. She opted for
another pain pill and an ice pack first. Tea bag will be next, if she's not better soon. We shall see what the night brings!
Actual teeth. Chelsey's on the left (multiple pieces)
and Colby's on the right.
Colby making it to the car with THREE people
making sure he didn't fall!
He was OUT like a light....
Chelsey had a little rougher time..
Chelsey enjoyed the IV induced sleep!
I'm sure I'll add an update or two before this is over!
Off to make two milkshakes...

Road Trip...

Danny and I set out mid afternoon for a Jeep Road Trip. He asked, "Where shall we go?" My reply? "Surprise me....." So, we took off on Preston Road headed North to Gunter, cut over West to Tioga and then North on 377. Drove around Lake Texoma for a bit. Where did we end up? Madill, Oklahoma...
Here are a few photos:

We're going back to see this next weekend!

A bar we stopped at,
just over the Oklahoma border,
home of the catfish races!
The name of this place was worth taking a picture of the sign,
the crushed cars are below.
Madill Courthouse

Least we can say we've been there!
