A long busy week!

Yes...I have worked that past 7 straight days....12-16 hours a day and there is no end in sight. I got off yesterday at around 5:15, raced home to jump in the car with Danny and head to Mesquite. Yep, races at Devil's Bowlnagain. Fun fun fun. But we do not get home until almost one this morning and I left for work at 8am. I am writing hhis from bed! There are big races Friday and Saturday night this week. Danny is on call...Colby is going to be my date. I've been watching Lucy's Mon's blog and she is not doing well. Kate posted that she's lost her sight and cried 'ro sleep over it last night. Breaks my heart ton read about sweet Lucy. Amazing how I can become so attached to a complete stranger....hope she's not hurting tonight. Time for lights out....I think I am going to head east sometime soon to fish with Jeannine. Makes me laugh ton read the stories girly! Love u. Have a nice week all....PK

Lucy...sweet Lucy

I have followed multiple blogs for a long time now....not even sure how I ran across some of them, but one in particular is the journey of a little girl with brain cancer. She's been doing pretty well until this week and now tonight, I couldn't sleep so I grab my iPad and when I check her Mom's blog, she reports that the cancer is back and there is nothing they can do. So sad....tears for Lucy and her family. Makes me want to go hug C and C, even thought they are snoozing away.... Guess I'll try and go back to sleep now. Lucy got to go to Disney and the lake house...makes all the little stuff seem so trivial. Pam

We officially stayed up all night at Speed Zone for the after Graduation Party. At this moment, Chelsey is asleep in a booth and Colby is playing video games. Good times....great night!

It took a village...

I have to write this tonight, because I am not sure that I can tomorrow night.... We often hear 'it takes a village' for this and that. I think it took a village to get Chelsey and Colby to that stage tomorrow night. Grand parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, their sister, and friends have all said "I can't believe they are graduating!" I can't either honestly...it has taken a village to get them there. That village is every sister, grand parent, aunt , uncle, cousin and friend that has ever worried about, loved, and wondered about those two. There is also a group that will be watching from above....My Granny Spencer, Pa Bill, Papa Dosey, Granny Bobbie, uncle Donny and many others, the five I have named will be particularly be missed tomorrow night, because I am 100% certain they would have loved to see it. As we all sit and watch it unfold tomorrow night, I take comfort that this group is sitting together smiling above...as we smile here. This is my thank you to each of you for being such and important part of Chelsey and Colby's life and I can't wait for us to all see the next chapter together, worrying about them, loving them and wondering about them each day.
