Extremely Loud & not good..

Movies with Chelsey today. Waste of time....the 9/11 movie with Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks was a dud it was over 2 hours and only the last 15 minutes were good. Chelsey said she is picking the next movie, not me.

Watching the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction in Scottsdale at the moment. Nephew is there...and has actually bid....seeing cars roll off stage for $2.6 million makes me shake my head. Jay Leno just arrived. This is larger than life! Can't wait to see what Cord buys...

Home inspection was yesterday...today realtor text asking is we modified the original slab plan. WHAT? Modify the slab? Um, no. We modified upstairs, put in showers instead of tubs, but no, we didn't minify the slab. After I worried for hours, realtor text that everything was okay and said close February 3rd...um, no please...by end of January. Soooo....we are scheduled for Monday, January 30th!!!!!

Every single things out and cleaned...except the pool table. We may have to build a bonfire and use it for wood.

Off to watch the expensive collector cars....and tomorrow it will be Giants vs 49ers. I predict the Giants win!

Back to the office!

After two days of meeting and getting home late...I am ready to just be in the office again! Good stuff at the meetings, but I do not sit still very well....especially for two solid days!

Not much to report from the FFF....Chelsey is doing Zumba, working out and I think she called it Body Slam class. She and 4-5 friends have been going at night and they laugh and love it! I asked if there were any fat old Mom's there and she said yes. I asked if they laugh at them and she said yes...doesn't that just make you want to run up there and try it?

Propane for the pool heater at the house tomorrow....inspection on Saturday or Monday. Close next week!!!!!

Off to dress for work...

A new office baby!!!

We have had three babies in progress on my team. One was born December 19th, a baby girl. Two boys are/were due. Shaun's son is due February 17th. Tammy's son WAS due May 1st, but I just found out he arrived yesterday. 1 pound 3 ounces...12 inches long. Joseph is breathing on his own, which is incredible! Wow....brings back so many memories!

Busy day!

Cleaned house from top to bottom. Scrubbed everything...including the polish off my nails. Cleaned out the pantry. Made a wreath for the front door. Got all my "stuff" put away from the Walmart run last night...speaking of, I am finally getting the hang of couponing. Saved $128.00....took me 3 hours to get everything, but what else did I have to do on a Saturday night...while Danny was snoring in his chair? I also cooked lunch and dinner today. No wonder I am tired...still have to put the sheets back on our bed, but other than that...everything is in it's place and clean!

Off tomorrow, but have appointment to have car serviced at 9am. Then to the cleaners and maybe go find a jacket to wear to meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then a job fair on Thursday. All are in Irving....seems like Egypt when I drive there from Celina.

Off to put the sheets back on our bed....take what's left of my finger nail polish off and then take a HOT bath (in our sparkling clean tub!). Can't help but think about Tripp's Mom tonight...so sad for her. Carla, hope all is okay with Paul's Dad.

Much love,
Pam

A walk in the sunshine....

Spent a couple of hours out at the house this morning. Went to get those last couple of things while Danny and Colby hauled off a mountain of trash. Cut a couple of bushes back that had been bugging me. Swept the garage. Scrubbed some sort of sticky goo up and then when it was time to leave....I went for a walk. Down to the lake. Cut all the ropes off the poles from multiple minnow buckets, fish baskets and stringers of days past. Walked up to the barn pad and placed a bucket on top of the electric line that was to be for the barn. Over to the yukka plants that I tossed because I hated them in the front flower bed. Down the hill again and into the garage. Lord I love that house, but in a few days, it will belong to the new owners. Bitter sweet. Tough to leave that dream place behind, but happy to finally be closing this week, or the next...they are paying cash, instead of a loan, so it should go pretty quick. They are doing their home inspection this week and the survey will be completed, since I can't for the life of me find the one we had done...and the survey company we used is out of business Then we close. I have meetings all week, so it's going to be tricky, but we will figure something out!

It's such a beautiful day....clippered Lily and then gave she and Tank a bath. Managed to nip her ear, so she is not getting very close to me at the moment. Tank has learned to get up in chairs now and onto the couch. He's such a mess! Duke is laying in the sunshine...

Chelsey is getting ready to go out with friends to dinner. Colby is with Tyler, running around somewhere and Danny is watching tv from his recliner. Guess I will run to Walmart...we seem to run out of all the essentials at the same dang time...gotta make a list then bolt there and back.

Hope your enjoying the sunshine...I am!

It's in the oven Son....

Colby has asked me to bake one thing forever....Sopapilo Cheesecake. Tonight as I sit checking out Hayden's potty training progress, a new pet for a family, and a little girl who's Mom is losing her mind helping her fight cancer, I see it...in a blog title and I just happen to have enough stuff in the cabinet to make HALF a recipe...which means an 8 x 8 pan instead of 9 x 13. It's now baking in the oven and Colby keeps checking it, to see if it's cooking correctly. Last night he and I baked blueberry muffins, so we could have them for breakfast...I had ONE this morning and when I got home tonight, there was NONE left...lord help us be able to feed that kid a little while longer! He said, "mom, I had them for breakfast, just like we agreed". True statement...but I meant plural as in a couple of breakfasts, not just one! Anyone want to bet that there is no cheesecake left by morning?

His concern for breakfast is because he's been in in school suspension for 3 days...all they feed them is chips and a sandwich, so he has to eat it up before going to school. He skipped school last Thursday....this is the reason for being suspended. His truck stayed parked all weekend. While in CDC today, he missed a girl fight in the hallway....Chelsey missed it too, because she was in the bathroom. Now both the girls are going to be in CDC for 5 days....Colby is rethinking the fact that he is now free from "the hole" as it's called. He never ceases to crack me up....

Chelsey just got home from what was to be a work out and interview at PAC Fitness in Prosper. The lady didn't show up. She's interviewing to work the kids club room...watching kiddos while the parents work out and then wiping down machines after people work out. This should be interesting. It pays $10.00 per hour, so she has decided THIS is the job for her and the drive isn't far and they close at 10pm, so not too terribly late getting home. Guess we will see when the lady shows up again....

Colby is getting applications together in the next couple of days...trying to stay in town. Can't have all his pay go for gas money, so hopefully he finds something soon and close!

Just heard the oven open and close again....better go make sure he is leaving at least a little heat in it!

Love,
PK
