Named TBD

Our new additions to the Fenter Funny Farm!
Danny wants to name them Sox and Tiger....
I on the other hand, want to be a little more creative.
We're going to give it another day to decide.
Maybe a Google search will result in something unique.

We've had a busy day....Three frogs,

two kittens, a movie (Grown ups is funny!)

and now a quiet night at home.

What shall we name them?

I guess this is what you do when your kiddos have their license and are never home....I've been wanting these frogs to go out by the pool for a while now. Danny and I made our Starbucks run this morning and then we went to the Mexican Pottery place in McKinney. I NOW have my frogs!!! Thinking about naming them Carlos, Anne, Charlie....just think, now you can read about their adventures! I've posted on FB, asking for name suggestions. Let's see what everyone comes up with. Stay tuned for the adventures.

Now, Danny and I are headed back to McKinney, to the Animal Shelter. We are adopting two kittens to live in our garage, and keep the mice from living there. One is black and white and the other one is gray. A male and a female, found in a box on the side of the road Tuesday. Rebel, our gray cat, has disappeared. I prefer to think he's out on an adventure and not a snack for the coyote I saw the other morning.... Soooo, this means we have three frogs and two kittens to name.

Happy Saturday all!

Big Brother...or in this case...

Feeling a little bit like Big Brother tonight...or in this case, Big Pam. I'm required to listen to 2 calls per day (all our calls are recorded, so if you call me, just know that I'm going to be VERY quick!) of my staff. The calls can be Welcome calls, Follow Up Calls or Pre-Closing Calls. Today was my first day at this task, and let's just say my first one was a doosey! It is a great training resource though.

Last night I said NOOOOOO to Chelsey going to the movies. It doesn't hurt her to be home ONE night. Colby was home and not complaining. You'd have thought I'd grounded Chelsey or something, it was "PLEASE MOM." "EVERYONE else is going," "It's SUMMER Mom, this is what we do!" Nothing worked to her favor, I was not backing down....even though she tried for almost an hour to sway me to her way of thinking. Sooooo, tonight I get home from work and Chelsey is gone to the movies with Dallas. She told her Daddy that she was leaving before I got home. She may have won tonight, but I won last night. Score is 1-1 in my book.

Colby has also headed to the movies with a friend. Although not in the same theater as his sister, gosh knows that wouldn't work! Oh well, hope they have fun and both make it home safely.

Danny is watching some off the wall cable channel....seriously, I still think I could make it with 4, 5, 8 and 11, OHHH and HGTV, it would be a must.

To Carla and Paul, I hope you have a blast. Drop 1 quarter in a slot for me, make it the first machine you see, when walking into your second casino!

XOXO,
Pam

June bugs in July

This would be the reason that Danny ALWAYS says....
"Please don't turn on the pool light!"
As you can see, we didn't listen last night.

Made them ALL cry in a matter of seconds...

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We did here at The Fenter Funny Farm, and my feet are sore again to prove it. Ashley, Tazz, Colton, and Dylan came over as well as Dallas, and a family of friends of Ashley and Tazz...Mark, Emma, Jordan, Kylie (the cutest little blonde you've ever seen!) and one of their son's friend. Cooked, stayed in the pool all day, and then the traditional "shoot fireworks over the lake."

Picture this, there are 4 kids under the age of 10, it's almost 11pm and everyone (the guys, the kids and Chelsey) is loaded up to go down to the lake and shoot off the big cannon, huge fire, and loud noise fireworks. I walk outside and say "OH NOOOOOO, YOU KIDDOS ARE NOT GOING DOWN THERE." Good grief, all fell to pieces on me, crying, stomping around, and just being mad in general. I then dropped "might be a snake down there" card.....they didn't care. "We're NOT going to watch the fireworks." So....they stomp to the back yard, and we kinda force them to watch the 15 minutes of fireworks and all say "is that all?" With tears still streaming down most of their faces. Oh well, they didn't fall in the lake, get bit by a snake or lose their hearing!

Didn't get to bed until almost 1am this morning, but had a blast. A nap will likely be part of my day. Always enjoy Ashley time, she was running around in a red, white and blue top hat....a sight to see. Happy 5th all! :-)..Pam

When you work 10-15 hours a day....

When you work 10-15 hours a day for almost a month....

You forget what real traffic is like.

Your flower beds get taken over by grass and weeds.

Your hubby says "I've missed you."

You forget what a treat it is to get home and be able to enjoy the patio. (Remember, I am TERRIFIED of the dark, so when I get home late, I RUN into the house)

You realize that summer tv is not worth a flip.

You miss a day or two posting on your blog.

You have sore feet from running around the office, which has very thin carpet and no pad at all.

And you realize that your post a few weeks ago, about slowing down, enjoying life and not working all the time just went to sh*t.....

Oh, and when you get home, eat and go to bed, you gain ten MORE pounds....I am going to have to visit Jenny Craig and start exercising again. After my feet stop being sore!

XOXO,
Pam

P.S. Mom, hope you and Aunt Barbara are having fun...only a short while longer and your home to Texas.
