My first "masterpiece" in my new "office." Had to do something, since it rained ALL day! It looks kinda crooked, but I checked it after the picture, and it was just the fringe not quite as fluffy on one side....All is well now.
Crafty Nana and the boys painted this morning.... Our little Picaso's loved it and so did I. We painted in the garage, so less mess to worry about in the house.
Left home Saturday at 10am...went into Frisco, with my eye out for "Garage Sale" signs. Stopped at a couple and a craft sale at a church. Bought 4 trash cans and a sack of buttons. Continued my quest on to Little Elm, Krugerville, Aubrey, Pilot Point, Gunter (bought 2 paid of leather gloves for $1.00 each), Van Alstyne, Anna, Melissa (bought metal desk, chair, file cabinet and a trunk) and then back home... Unloaded all my treasures and then ran to Home Depot and WalMart for paint. Thanks to my friend Kyle's recommendation, I went to the "Oops" paint section. Didn't even know this existed, BUT, I do now! If a customer buys paint, and it's not the color they expected, and returns it, then they mark it $5.00 for the gallon. I got a cute shade of light green. Also smaller cans for .50 cents. On a mission to find a discarded chair, still in good shape, to paint and "bling out." Maybe next weekend! Could become an occassional Saturday excursion for me. Colton and Dylan spent the night, so that Tazz and Ashley could enjoy a night out at Texoma. They were cashed out on the couch at 11pm! Pam
Resume complete and emailed out to 12 different contacts/companies. Now, let's see what happens! Worked out with Danny after taking the kids to school, then headed to Frisco, so he could get a hair cut. Stopped by "Salad Creations" for lunch, it was great! Hobby Lobby was the next stop, to find wooden items that I can "bling." Came back home and worked in flower beds for a little while. Cooked brownies, and had them ready and still warm when the kids got home. Cooked dinner as well. Watched a little TV, read with my Kindle and nodded off just before midnight. Loved the sunshine!!!
Wednesday was spent at my former office, teaching someone how to pay bills, complete payroll submissions, review the P&L, etc. So....for the very last time, I've now left that office. VERY near tears, but managed to not let one drop! Whew... Today, Thursday, Danny and I worked out first thing then headed to Allen to visit my friend Sharon. Been a while, and was nice to see her, and husband Mike. They are in a bit of a pickle at the moment, as the property that they lease for their Electrical business is being taken by Allen ISD, for a parking lot to their soon to be built stadium... As Mike said "we have 30+ years worth of stuff here." He had many other choice words, that I shall not share. LOL. Off to a track meet now, with warm cookies in tow... Officially survived a week! Pam
Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday....all jammed into one post. Have managed to connect with 88 former co-workers and business partners on linkedin.com. Have applied on line with Capital One for two positions. First one declined, second one is pending..... Tomorrow I return to my former office, to train someone to do commissions, submit payroll, go over bank accounts, and remove myself from those accounts and other businesses. Thursday is my "prepare a resume" day. Have started a profile on monster.com. Have had multiple people send me "WTF?" notes on Facebook and email, all of which I have conveyed, YES, I'm in the job market... Have used my new "Ab Circle Pro" everyday (except Sunday) since it's arrival last week. Returned to Snap Fitness today for the first time in 3 years. Worked legs and walked on treadmill. Going to try and make it everyday for a while... I will say that I'm enjoying cooking. Danny commented today on how many times we've washed pots and pans and ran the dishwasher. Least we aren't starving! It was sunny outside day, although cool and windy. Lots better than rain! Continuing my quest for another day! Pam
I've decided to create a resume blog.... While searching monster.com and other job web sites, I see a lot of dreary information. I think a resume blog could be something that would make me "stand out" in this techno world. To be continued, as I need to get it all straight in my head first, then I shall turn into Pamblo Picasso in Blog form! Off to have hair cut and highlighted.... and the sun is shining! Planning to make it a great Saturday!
