Spent most of the day on Sunday putting all our Christmas decorations up. This would include our 9 foot pre-light tree. Monday, our precious (not) Schnauzer, tore into three boxes under the tree. She hid when I arrived home from work. TODAY, I get home and look over at the tree, and of the total 9 foot, lights are working on the very bottom only. Upon closer inspection, I find the end chewed off the cord..... SOOOOOOOOOO, my "pre-wired lit" tree is now RUINED. And yes, Lily was hiding! GRRRRRRRRRRR, she may have to go to school soon, to learn how to act when she's home alone and bored!
Next, today was a BIG day with the kids. Both went for their driving permits. One passed and one didn't. Let's just say that Colby is gloating over his permit. Chelsey on the other hand, will have to try again tomorrow, much to her dismay!
Updates on Xmas decor and permit to follow.....

Angels
Received our Salvation Army Angels today. It warms my heart to know that we can provide something special to a couple of kids that are less fortunate. Alexis is a 9 year old boy that NEEDS shoes and WISHES for a portable cd/radio. His sister Ariadna is 6 and NEEDS shoes and WISHES for a Barbie doll. I'd bet they get both. Colby and Chelsey shall be challenged to get what they can for both on a budget. Should be fun! Details to follow.

Mums the word....
This and That...
Well, at first I enjoyed posting to our blog and lately, I've just let it slide. So.... With that in mind, here's a quick summary of what we have been up too. Colby and Chelsey are full swing into 10th Grade. Football, Ag Project (Jorge the Pig), shopping and school are their lives at the moment. Oh and their friends.... most of which are at our house often, and Chelsey's boyfriend, Dallas and our second son Tyler.
Driver's Ed is a Monday night thing. They should have their permits soon, and then Danny and they can drive together. I on the other hand, prefer to stay the control freak that I am, and handle the stearing when we are in a vehicle together.
Texting is our mode of communication.... I never get "I love you" or "How's it going Mom?" It's ALWAYS one of the following: Can you stop on your way home and get "X"? I'm hungry. What's taking u so long? I need "X" for school tomorrow. Colby will occassionally text "Sup Mom?" and I smile, all the others create a frown.
Lily has taken to chewing everything she can get her teeth on. If left home alone too long, she'll shred Danny's shoes, chew buttons off the tv remote, chew the handle on the recliners, and slowly pull a cloth off our coffee table, to get the bowl, that USED TO contain M&M's. She's a mess!
Duke, the Lab, visits in the morning and afternoon. Always looking for a meal. He jumps up and opens the back door, and then lays just inside the house, until someone notices him.
Rebel the Cat stays in the garage, and mission accomplished, NO MICE!!! He's a terror to Lily, but she holds her own with him. They jump on each other and play. If Lily can get Rebel by the throat, she'll drag him to me as if to say "Look Mom, it's a cat!"
Danny continues to take care of the Fenter Funny Farm. Rain during the month of October was over the top. Grass grew, mud everywhere and one bored hubby. Finally is dried up enough to mow.
As for me, it's work work work. I was home two days this week with a sore throat and terrible ear infection. Thought I'd lose my mind! As much as I'd like to say that I would stay home if I could.... it's just not me. Good news is, even though the guidelines have tightened even more for Mortgages, we're still closing loans. And, I still love what I do, even after 20+ years....
That's an update of the Fenters. I'll try and not wait so long next time.
