A little bit of East Texas

Blew out of town Thursday night and headed East...to visit sister, BIL and Morgan. And surprise Mom and Dad with a visit. But that didn't go so well...when they surprised us with a visit to Carla's today with Aunt Barbara. We walked the streets of Winnsboro (all 2 of them) and then headed home to see Dad and Paul. Then off to dinner and back to work over at Daddy Shy's house. Now I lay on the couch under the best blanket In East Texas watching basketball, listening to Morgan harass her Mom. Good to see everyone. Tomorrow will be a chocolate pie and trip home so Danny and I can go to the Mavs game.

Thursday.....

Another busy week! C and C are counting down to Spring Break which is next week....I am counting it down, because the weather should be a little warmer on a consistent basis...

STILL not smoking. It will be a month on Saturday! I did drop the diet last week, was about to get the best of me trying to cold turkey stop smoking and be on a strict diet. I shall try the diet again in a few days.

Wrapped up in a blanket at the moment...what a swing the weather took today!

Off to clean the kitchen...hope everyone has a great Friday.

Great time but not a win!

We had a great whirlwind trip to Austin and back, but not a win for the Lady Cats. Remember the name Peyton Little....she's from Abeline Wylie and committed to A&M for a full ride.

Home now in my recliner. I bet I hit the bed soon...kinda tired!

Hello Round Rock!

Chelsey, Shelby and I met at the house this afternoon....packed up Lexie (Chelsey's SUV) and hit 35 South. We had an early dinner (or really late lunch) in Waco and arrived in Round Rock at about 6:15ish. Checked in at the Marriot and then headed to the Outlet Mall. We walked the whole place and came back for chips and salsa at Tia something or others... Now we are in the room...having a margarita. Good times so far. In the morning we will pack it up and head in to Autsin to watch Celina play at 10am in the State 3A Title game. Should be a lot of fun for us! After the game...Chelsey wants to go to Tyler's for a shirt then we will probably head back home. Fun mini girl weekend for us.

1 month from tomorrow C and C turn 18. YIKES!

Update!

65-50 win. They play in Austin Thursday afternoon. Hummm...

We always laugh!

left work early yesterday so that Chelsey and I could make it to Commerce for the girls basketball game. Won it and they play again today....if they win...it's off to the state tournament next weekend. Just may have to visit Austin!

Afterward we headed to Winnsboro to see Sister Carla, Paul, Morgan and Dylan. We laughed and watched tv until almost midnight. Love getting to visit, even if it's not as often as I'd like. Love you sister Carla!

Today well head back to Commerce...sure hope those girls win it!

Can't sleep AGAIN!

3:30am and here is sit.....in my recliner with Tank. He is snoring and I am NOT. I think all the vitamins, metabolizers, efa's etc that I am taking for my diet is causing insomnia. Today when I visit the Center to weigh in (8 pounds so far!) I shall ask what the heck I can do. Even took my sleeping pulls and they only lasted a few hours.

Arrived home last night to Chelsey and Shelby laughing in her room. Colby was watching tv and wanted me to teach him how to cook boiled eggs. It's the little things that make me smile!! Danny was out due to a guard rail damage near Lake Lavon.....people are he'll on those things! He arrived home at almost 9pm asking who was voted off American Idol. LOL....Chelsey and I officially have him hooked!

Today is the next to the last day for refinances to close and as of last night my team was at 95 percent of projections, so although a little ways to go, it's not a mountain to climb in two days!

Got a text from Tylers Mom that she was fuming mad....Friday his grades were fine, so baseball was ON. Wednesday she gets a call that he's not passing one class,, so he can't play. She was fuming and so am I. Her plan is to visit the school today....I told her if she needed help laying into them....call me. Just BS and Tyler is devastated...can't have this happen with only 3 months left of school! I reminded his mom that Mama Bears protect their cubs. aLWAYS! Hopefully they see her point and he's back on the baseball field very soon.

Dad...glad you are feeling a little better and able to get out and about a little.

Now...I am going to try and ,ay still and sleep a little longer. If not, then I think I'll go into the office....should be nice and quiet there!
