Follow up to Flags.....both kiddos received a 100!!! And I believe that counts as 3 test grades, according to Colby...
Wednesday was spent on my lap top all day networking, filling out job applications. Completed assessments for a couple. Took Chelsey to Frisco for a few new clothes, to go on her trip to A&M for poultry judging. Had a great girls afternoon and of course we had to drive home in the RAIN.
Today, interviewed with a guy who owns a mortgage company in Addison. Planning to go check his office out early next week. After the interview, headed east to visit with Mom, Dad, Carla and Paul. Spending the night and going to see Carla and Paul's soon to be home in Winnsboro in the morning. Can't wait to see it. Had dinner tonight at AJ's, and while I was getting dessert, someone at the table (Mom, I think it was you) managed to rock the table and all the drinks went tumbling. I left the table in perfect order and when I returned, ice and tea was everywhere, including in Daddy's lap! We had a good laugh and move to another table. Carla and I drove around her neighborhood just before dark and counted 34 deer total in less than 30 minutes... It is insane just how many deer are around here! And they just stand and look at you when you drive by them. Kicked back now, everyone has a lap top.... Good to see family, it's been a while. Also went to visit Aunt Sharon, Uncle Raymond, Megan and Hayden...he is such a cutie! He'll be a year old on April 15th and this is my first time to see him. Made the trip down even more worth while!
Looking forward to spending the day with Carla tomorrow....
XOXO,
Pam

Flags complete...73 and patches of SNOW!

What a beautiful day! Seemed a bit odd to be in short sleeves, riding with the window down, 73 degrees and patches of snow still on the ground... Delivered resume and applications to two banks in Celina today. What are the odds I could find a job 5-6 minutes from the house? We shall see. Cooked dinner, had it ready by 5pm. I text Colby, since he's started texting me in the afternoons, asking "What's for dinner Mom?", and told him we were having Hog heart, mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. He came in the back door with a terrible face and said "REALLY MOM?" Then, he was very pleased to see that I had ham, potatoes, steamed veggies and pasta cooked. No cookies today, I think the sugar is keeping me awake at night! Flags are now complete, and since they count at TWO test grades per kiddo, I'm glad they turned out pretty good... Colby's is blue/green/black with Faith, Strength and Dedication and Chelsey's is purple/green/white with fleur de les (like the New Orlean Saints) and Faith, Peace, Bright Future and Security. Another unemployed day complete....but when it's sunny, I'm happy!
XOXO, Pam

Always PROJECT X'S TWO

When you have twins, ALL projects are times TWO..... Tonight's project, which is due Wednesday (please note we are actually working on it early!!!), is to design a flag, representing your values....
Colby opted for Discipline (a football), Strength (weights) and Faith (a cross). His chosen colors are blue, green and black.
Chelsey opted for lime green, purple and something else, which is to be determined, after she sleeps on it.
The day started with work out, then to McKinney for a printer, resume paper, envelopes, and paper. Lunch at Saltgrass. Returned home to set my lap top up with the printer....actually only took about 15 minutes (yea!). Applied on line for a few jobs, then cooked dinner. Now it's time to clean up all the mess, which seems to be EVERYWHERE at the moment!

Saturday....Last day of Winter!!!
Yesterday, flip flops and capris.... Today? Sweats and parka practically. Possible SNOW tonight....Come on SUMMER, again SICK of the cold!
Follow up to belly button piercing trip.....FINALLY SUCCESS today. She squeezed my hand so hard, while having it done, that I had marks on it until we got home, BUT Chelsey is now a happy camper, with an early birthday present....pink belly button ring!
Also took Colby, better known as our human eatting machine, to WalMart this morning. TIRED of hearing "I'm hungry..." Soooo, he had free reign to pick out what ever he wanted. At least to a point that I thought our freezer would hold all of it. I think we might be good for a few days.....least I hope so!
Off to watch basketball now.... For the record, I completed a bracket and picked Villenova and Vanderbilt at the final game....both have already been eliminated. Oh well, maybe next year I'll do better!
xoxo,
Pam
Last Day of Winter
Friday, March 19th, was the last day of winter.... 70+ degrees and beautiful. Lunch with Chelsey and Colby at Genghis Grill in McKinney. Then off we went to TRY and get Chelsey's belly button pierced.. First attempt, NO ID....not happening. Second attempt (after Dallas brought her wallet from Celina to McKinney), NO PHOTO ID....not happening. She was terribly disappointed!
Returned home from McKinney and headed, where else? Choctaw with my friend Kyle. It was her first time to go there, and she was SO excited. The new hotel is now complete, and I must say, it is VERY Vegas style... Absolutely beautiful! Arrived back home just after midnight. Had a blast!
