Day One....

I think I will cronical my days....today was the first day of my entire adult life that I am unemployed. I feel fortunate to have made it from September 10,1984 to now, to say that.

Day one was spent taking Colby to tutoring and Chelsey to school. That's a rarity for me, and may be the "norm" for others, but I never have gotten to do that.

From there, Danny and I took a mound of dry cleaning to Frisco....sat in Starbucks and had coffee (again, I'm usually in a dead run drive thru gal) and them stopped by WalMart for a new bottle of Simply Sleep. Intended to get cat food, but forgot it. Must have been because Danny was WITH me!

Came back home and had a sandwich and fell asleep on the couch for a little while. Going to a track meet after school....Colby's running the "Big Boy Race." Should be fun, and yet another adventure for me, as I've never made it to an after school track meet.

Lily (the dog) seems pleased to have her Momma home, and hasn't let me out of her site. She even napped with me.

So....it appears I will survive day one. Wonder what day two will be like...

Happy Valentines Day... I think we are off to have lunch somewhere. Just an update on the snowman. He's naked (dropped his scarf) and leaning just a bit!

College....(sigh)

Our first piece of mail from a college.....and it's addressed to Chelsey. Can hardly believe it! Maybe Colby will get a few two.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

It seems the more I complain about the cold weather, the worse it gets! I mean REALLY, a foot of snow? I spent Thursday night at the fine Hampton Inn of Plano. The kids escaped school a little before one and had the entire day out on Friday. Above are a few pictures...

What have we been up too?

January has been fairly dull. February, to date, has been about the same. Weather has been too cold to do ANYTHING.... This week weather people are saying below freezing at night and barely 40 during the day. I'm sure I'll look back at this and laugh during the heat of the summer, but I have to say, it will take many days of high temperatures before I'll complain. When Danny and I were leaving the house yesterday, I asked him if it felt like it had been cold/winter/muddy/rainy/YUCK for a year now....

Colby squated 375 on Monday at weight work out. He came in beaming! By Wednesday he had strep throat. Much better now though, thank goodness. He's not very happy when he's sick.

Chelsey has spent most of the week feeling a little crappy too. Sinus infection has about kicked her butt. BUT, it didn't stop her from having visits from Dallas.

Danny is getting a bit of cabin fever with the cold weather. It can't be Spring soon enough for us.

Ready for the Fenter Funny Farm to NOT be one big mud lolly.... Bring out the sun please...

Super Bowl Sunday

Saints vs Colts... WHO WILL WIN? We shall see.... Lazy Sunday around here so far. Colby at Tyler's. Chelsey at Shelby's. Danny on one computer and I'm on my lap top. Lily is outside terrorizing Rebel the cat. And Duke? Let's just say he's taking a nap...
