138 Bags...

Well.... After Danny had my flower beds all cleaned out (my Mother's Day present), it was time for new mulch. We put out two plus pallets. Yes, 138 bags. Thank goodness Colby and Danny helped with part of it, or I'm not sure I would have made it! Just to give an idea of how many bags it was, see above. I'd already unloaded half of one stack, before I thought to take a picture.... Lots of sweat, but it now looks like new again. Note the before (light colored dirt) and after (Dark Forrest Brown Mulch) shots. I'd say MULCH improved.

Celina Lady Cats Softball Game

I'll bet people wonder what everyone in Celina feeds their kids..... Why you ask? Because not only do we have a great football team, but the Celina Lady Cats have a fantastic Softball team. They played two games yesterday, against #1 ranked Van and won both. Chelsey and Colby were part of the cheering crowd.... In orange of course. Chelsey has an animal print cape. And let's just say that Colby was in rare form with orange plastic hair and an air horn. Colby is on the left, and that's his buddy Roos on the right...

The THREE four legged children.....

Meet our four legged children! First of all, Duke is our white lab. He's always looking for an adventure. He'll leave and roam the countryside and return 2-3 days later. Loves to take a dip in the pool. If you say the word "cookie" (his special word for treat) then he will almost knock you over running for it. Also.... If we leave the doors unlocked, he'll hit the handle with his paw until the door pops open, then he sits to see if anyone is going to yell "NOOOO Duke!" before he runs into the house.

Next is Dex, our Boxer. He has learned to roam with Duke. Looks a bit fierce, but is really good natured, he's just not sure when visitors come over, if he should play or protect. He slept with me for his first couple of months with us, but now he's just too darn big to put in the bed with me!

And then.... there's Lily. She's a mini schnauzer, and rules the house! She thinks she a "big girl" and can roam with the boys. On occassion she'll spend a couple of days out with the boys, but when she returns, she'll sleep for 2 days. I guess those short little steps, keeping up with the two boys just wears her out. She sleeps with me, on her back, surrounded by pillows and her own blanket. If her blanket is not "just so" she'll nudge the blanket or my arm until I fix it for her. I think she likes me the best! Also, if the Duke and Dex leave for an adventure without her, she's stand in the garage and howl, it's pretty funny!
Never thought I'd ever be so crazy about three four legged kids, but that's an understatement! They can't TALK, so they are very enjoyable!

Webmastering...

This is what Miss Chelsey learned to do in her Webmastering class this year.... They have had a blast posting crazy pictures of each other. That's her buddy Shelby on the right.

Fenter Reunion

Chelsey and Colby are not the only Fenter Twins.... Uncle Bud and Aunt Audrey are 82. This photo was at the reunion on Saturday...

They are growing up!

The Celina Sports Banquet was tonight.... Chelsey and Colby have just 4 days left, and they will be 10th Grade! I can hardly believe it.... Had to include a picture of both all dressed up for the banquet. That's the closest they have been in years without fighting!

Love you both!!! Mom

Memorial Day...

What a weekend! Saturday shopping in the morning with Chelsey and then to the Fenter Reunion in Point. Sunday guests over, eatting, fishing, 4 Wheeling and asleep by 9:30pm. Monday, the kids had school, to make up for a bad weather day, so Danny and I stayed home and fished. Above is a big crappie that I caught. Was loads of fun, at one point Danny and I had two rod and reels each, and were catching two fish as a time.... Nothing like an afternoon in the sun with a minnow in the water looking for the big catch!
